Woman kidnapped as a baby finds her family!

I read an article in the newspaper about this young Woman who had suspicions about the Woman She'd grown up thinking of as "Mom" ...and discovered on investigating her doubts that She'd been kidnapped as a baby from a hospital,and only recently (23 years on!)being able to re-establish contact with her Birth Mother!
Had you heard of this story? Do you know of other abducted Children who rediscover their true parents?

I haven't heard of this particular story but I have heard of this happening before. This isn't the only story out there! It is sad. And then to go for 23 years without knowing your real mother must be terrible. I used to think I was adopted. Not even sure why now.

The story read that the kidnapper had posed as a Nurse at the time...can't see how that helped her get away with leaving the scene,or circumventing whatever security procedures were in place at that time..

It must have been done by a hospital employee that had access to the child and able to change the bracelets and ID information. Because no one detected a problem until this happened years later. Quite a feet i must say.

wow that is a great story there was one years ago about a boy Steven Stayner he was kidnapped an found his way home 7 years later but it didn't end that good he was killed in a motorcycle ascendent an sad thing is the guy the kidnapped him when he got out of jail he tried to grab another child thank god that child was saved right away

I hadn't heard of this one either..You have to wonder what's going on in people's heads when they can plan and carry out depriving a parent of a child,leaving them with no closure,setting aside what might happen to the child afterwards..

I couldn't ever imagine going through something like this but her family should be proud of her she took thei initiative and tried to find her mom and succeeded. Now hopefully the people that kidnapped her will be arrested and justice will be served. Hope her and her mom can live a happy life together and now she can get to know her granddaughter. I love reading happy stories like this because lately the news has been depressing.

That is a wonderful story and so amazing that she actually discovered she was kidnapped and found her birth mother. I’m so glad she has found her family. What horror it must have been for that family to be without their daughter.

The article I read mentioned the kidnapper had posed as a Nurse in the Hospital,and even had the gall to say something "Comforting" to the Mother at the time..
