Good day Fellow Mylotters,
Since the celebration of Heart's Day is nearly coming, so as almost everybody is busy preparing for the one day event. Although this is only celebrated for only one day, hence, almost all people are so busy for the preparation. Same thing on the company where my sister has been working, they are also busy decorating and arranging some flowers for the Hearts Day. And not only that, their Big Boss requires all employees to wear a red clothes on Valentines Day. And this is a must to adhere or else a memo will be issued to the employee who will not follow the rule.

that is kinda odd, but i guess they could have ask for worse, since most people already have red clothes in there closet, i know i have of red shirts, short sleeve and long, my aunt once told me that red was my color lol. i dont know about that but, i dont really wear it red that often,
you will usually see me in grey or white shirts, i have alot of susan coleman cure for cancer shirts that i wear alot.. and as for grey i just love the color always have..
but i guess if my employer wanted me to wear red, i most difently would, and it might even be kinda neat to see everyone wearing red, at once, probably in my opinion a good ideal except he probalby could have left it, at asking who would be willing to wear red, instead of demanding with those actions if they dont.. seems kinda odd..
but anyhow , its just one day and wont kill anyone.. i might even wear red tommorrow my self depends on how i feel when i get up and get ready.
have a great night.. and blessings to you..

I would understand the need to wear red if your sister is working in a restaurant or a boutique in order to attract customers. But if she works in an office, I find it stupid that the boss will have to issue a memo just because you're not wearing red. I remember those days when I was still working in the call center industry that sometimes the bosses will ask us to dress up with a theme for the day. Like a pajama party or as schoolkids. But this wasn't really imposed strictly amongst us agents and we had the option to just wear what we want. I've worked in the fast food industry about twenty years ago and I do remember dressing up to amuse guests in occasions such as Valentine's. But Valentine's for us was boring. We looked forward more to Halloween since we could use funky make-up and scare the kids so that they would behave
. But that also wasn't strict, you could always say no or not join in the fun.

I´m not fond of imposicions of any kind. I love red because I´m a brunette, but there are people who should never use it. I remember some years ago I went to the US some days after Valentine´s Day. I needed nightgowns and bought 2 awesome ones for a dollar because they had red hearts
. Nevertheless, even if I love red, I would not be willing easily to wear a special colour of dress, except if it was a uniform provided by the management for all employees.

I'm looking forward to valentine's day as I want to spend some quality time with my friends and family. aS for your sister having to wear red at her work, I think it is nice that the boss is doing this to celebrate this day of love. However, I don't think he should impose it on the employees. I think it would be better to let them decide what they want to wear on this special day
