Cigarettes Can Start a Fire

I was in a casino once long ago when someone must have put a cigarette in an ashtray there that was not put out all the way. It started to smoulder abit and maybe the smoke got alittle more intense. Someone noticed it and began to try to put it out. Thankfully it did go out and the casino and people were spared a possible huge fire. My friend on FB was arguing about something to that same kind of story where he said that a fire can never be started with a cigarette. How ignorant is that, anyways? Was he not living under a rock not to know a cig can most certainly start a fire. Forest fires can be started that way, thas is why we had Smokey the Bear commercials back when.

It's funny that you friend said fire cannot be started by a cig. You should suggest your friend to do some experiments regarding this. Just light a cig and leave it with some flammable objects, I'm sure he'll find surprises! : )

Yea, maybe he needs to do that. He even said he does not smoke, he gave it up. I would have guessed that he did smoke and was just being overly protective of his habit. So it doesn't make sense, that he didn't believe it. Such a jerk.
