I met a new friend this week. We got to meet each other for the first time at Paneras over tea and coffee. She told me she had two chihuahuas. They were cute as she sent me a picture of both of them. Later after I shared my pets with her, she sent me another picture of one of her chihuahuas Frickles. No this is not off one of those funny animal portraits here on the net. Its her actual chihuahua who is downright mad cause she puts him in a kennel she has. I drove over to take her out to show her around town. I drove up in her driveway and called her she said ok I am ready in a minute you can come in if you want and I replied No your chihuahua might eat me!

That dog looks so fierce! The small dogs seem to think they can make up for their size by looking mean.

hi marie judging by that picture he might just take a bit out of your leg. the only time I was ever bitten by a dog was a Chihuahua . I had gone to this lady's home across from the hospital where I worked to deliver medication for her. She was crippled. She opened the door to my knock and as I handed her the medicine her little Chihuahua rushed out , and grabbed the back of my ankle and he bite, She was shocked and told me he had never done that before. well that did not help; I was furiou so left to get back'to my nurse's aide job. the head nurse examined my ankle. She said "Did the dog have its rabies hot." I told her I had not asked. she phoned the woman and yes it had had its rabies shots. then the nurse got the doctor on call.He frowned."come into my office and nurse come with us. that needs a couple of stitches. that dog really chomped down on you." they filled my ankle with novacain waited then the doctor put in five stitches.Mybluecross and blue shield luckily paid for that. so I am not really fond ot the little bitters at all. excuse me but I cannot laugh.that ankle islame from some tendon damage the little brat caused.

I feel so sorry for you. My ex husband was an IRS agent. He was the part of the job where he would repo the cars or whatever was told to go get. He called this couple and they told him to come get the car. He drove over met the towing truck. He needed them to sign a couple papers so he started in the yard and up the stairs to the porch. he knocked and as he knocked on the front door, they turned their dog loose out the back door. He was chased all the way back to his car. Luckilly he did not get bit. When I was about 8 years old, we used to go to a farm to a lady that sold her fresh eggs to make extra money. We got to know her quite well and was always welcome over. Her sister in law was over one day and she was wearing her coat. She told me to come see what she had in her coat and she had one of those teacup chihuahuas. he was the smallest chihuahua I had ever seen and he was full grown. I reached out my hand to pet him and Dorthy told me he was vicious. he probably did not weigh over 2 lbs and was trying to bite me to just pet him. I agree they can have a streak of mean in them. I fortunately had a wonderful chihuahua. He did not bark, would not bark if someone knocked on the door, and loved kids and people. I guess its because he was raised around 5 kids and myself. He was always being petted by someone.

Chiuhuahuas sure are fierce! They seem to think they are five times bigger than they really are. I have one myself.

I had one named Buddy he lived 11 years. he was so laid back he would be sleeping, a mailman could knock on the door and he would look at me like you got it? He never hardly ever barked and was the best all round little guy.
