hi friends.when there is so much money and glamour running around in a tournament, one might get the feeling, something is missing.
that something is my friends controversy.
it happened finally in yesterday's match between MI and DC.
yeah well you knew all about the sangakara's dismissal.
never before have i seen players confront a umpire like this.
even more appalling was sanga.i have seen players standing their ground after nicking the ball and say they wait for the umpire to give out.
but probably the first time i have seen a batsmen wait for umpire's decision to give for getting bowled.lol.
a tabloid rightly said how different the situation would be if sachin was in the playing XI.
your thoughts

There was confusion all around. Perhaps, Sangakkara did not know the fact that ball has first hit the stump. Umpire gave him not out and only when mi camp saw replay, all mi players went furious. Harbhajan showed his index fingers reminding me of Ricky Ponting in notorious Sydney test match of 2008.
Harbhajan Singh should be fined very heavily along with Munaf Patel for showing so much dissent to umpires.
They literally means "if you don't give him out, we will not play".

ofcourse bhajji will be fined.wonder if and when sachin comes back to play against royals tomorrow, will he captain the team considering bhajji might have to sit out the next game or 2.
never knew such confrontation will occur in such clear cut dismissals.lol

Hi Star,
It was a horrible appeal from MI.Harbhajan lead the horrible appeal along with Munaf and other team mates.Umpire should be respected for his decision. He should not forced by the players to change the decision or review it.It was an ugly face of the cricket game.Sanga was waiting for umpire's decision because he was not sure whether he was bowled out.So he looked at the umpire and was waiting for his response.Umpire made the decision but Bhajji forced him to review it.If Sachin was there he would go by the umpire's decision. He will not make a horrible appeal that could cause controversy.

:) Interesting. I missed it though as I was not following this match. For me the worst case of standing when obviously out was Michael Clarke in the infamous Sydney test. He had edged to the first slip and waited for the umpire to give him out. :)
Cheers!

It was one of the bad instant in the IPL history. There was huge mistake in the side of umpire by not referring to third umpire. But after that harbhajan raised to the umpire. It was completely against the spirit of cricket. I am sure it won't happen if sachin was in the team. He is a man who really respect and knows true cricket spirit. I think harbhajan should be punished like banning from one or two matches.
