Today while participating in a discussion here, after hinting about the severe Summer here in India,I wrote about the rainy season that is ready to pour within weeks. Suddenly I thought of the great lines of PB Shelley as " If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?". I felt a nice mood of optimism and inspiration, that these great lines are conveying through so many years. I think almost persons are familiar with these lines during their academic years and remember even after years.

I loved my literature classes, and Shelley and his wife were great writers. It's wonderful when lines from school come back to you later in life. I still remember one English professor telling us to see the Bible in a different perspective, as literature in itself. The only verse I memorized was Isaiah 40:28 and it is certainly useful: "Hast thou not known, hast thou not heard, that the Lord, the Everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the Earth, fainteth not, neither is weary, there is no searching of His understanding." I translate that to equal the Serenity Prayer: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change."

It all depends on whether the Wintersmith has been kissed.
