I thought I was safe from a troll

In my thirteen years of online life, I have never been attacked by a troll because as much as possible I stay away from them once I detect that they are trollish. But yesterday had me in for a shock and I never knew that people can be so vicious. I have an online store that becomes active every once in a while because I don't really stock up on items to sell online. Now these items that I am now selling are a collector's item set that I didn't really invest any money in in order to sell them, it was for a friend who asked help in selling these items. So I posted the said items at the cost she quoted and didn't even add on to the price for my benefit. My opinion was and still is, is that these items aren't really mine, I am just helping to sell them. The first three sales went fine without any hitches. Then came the nightmare yesterday. Since I don't really have the item on hand, I just forward the details for the payment and shipping of the item. Mr. Troll was nice when we first spoke thru text around noon. He made the usual inquiries which I answered truthfully. Then he asked for the payment details, which I gave and told him to wait for the tracking number for the shipment. And since this will be done by my friend, I was also waiting for the tracking number. Mr. Troll by nightfall immediately assumed that I was scamming him by not sending the tracking number. No matter how hard I tried to explain to him that it will be shipped, he never listened. To make matters worse, he reported my profile immediately to the admin of the online store as a scam. Mr. Troll even mentioned in his report that I was using multiple accounts in order to scam people online. I am not bothered by this because even if someone investigates me and the items that I am selling, I have it and I am not scamming anyone. The reason my friend and I are now thinking why Mr. Troll is doing this is because he might be our competitor in the said item and his price is way too high. I was just shocked by his reaction and the way that he attacked me because it was really personal, he even mentioned that the person who gave me the positive feedback for a transaction three years ago was fake. I am shocked at how far people will go just to destroy someone else, even if it is online. My items are still on sale online and I know that a lot of sellers on that site are irked by my price. But that is the real price of these items, it's up to them as sellers if they want to sell these at higher prices. I wish I had kept my listing on eBay because that is where I got my good customers. This site where I met Mr. Troll is a local online shop which I have been a member for quite a number of years now. I hope I will be able to dispose of these items before I meet another Mr. Troll.

Hi, I am so shocked to read about this.I have not yet been a victim of any trolls but you never know, what can happen on the internet as you said, it happened for the first time in 13 years of your being online. He really has gone to great extents to damage your reputation on the site where you were trying to sell those items. Here the only motive I can detect is jealousy. Truly there is no lack of jealous people in this world. They would not put up with healthy competition and would try to destroy the other person. You were trying to help your friend and met with such a disastrous experience. I really hope you have been able to sell off your items by now. May you never have to face such people again in life. Wish you happy sales and good luck!

you know what, I just got attacked by a troll too, This troll called me lame and asked me to jump in a lake. This troll didnt even read my topic. This troll had been in the certain community where I was a member....well I am a nice guy but if people will mess with me... I will mess with them back. I investigated this troll's online activity and try to trace the violations he or she did...kapow! the troll is banned. Justice is delicious.
