got to watch 'the avengers' last week with my daughter...

and both of us absolutely LOVED the movie!!! let me start by saying that my daughter actually watched 'iron man 1', bits and pieces of 'iron man 2', and 'captain america' so she has no idea about the rest of the heroes, thor, hulk, hawkeye, and black widow, in the movie. i thought that i had to explain the backstory about the remaining characters but much to my pleasant surprise,she understood the story as is. she remembered iron man and captain america and had to ask me what the names of the other characters including that of nick fury and loki. of course, by default, her favorite character in the movie is black widow. she particularly liked black widow's 'interrogation' scene and subsequent fight scene. i for one like nick fury because samuel l. jackson is playing that character. lol! i love slj as an actor and think that the characters he plays are awesome. my daughter and i agree that among all the heroes, it was hulk, that was the funniest. hulk simply stole all the scene with his actions and facial expressions. that is saying a lot for a character that had limited speaking lines. lol! our most favorite hulk scene was when hulk 'punched' thor after they brought down one of those alien flying monsters. i also liked iron man/tony starks because of the clever one-liners that he had with the rest of the avengers. over-all, it was a fun experience and a good way to bond with my daughter. we're actually looking forward to the next 'avengers' movie. so what does everyone think about 'the avengers' and if you were to list movies good for a parent-child get together, what movies will you include in your list? really interested as to what everyone else here in mylot will have. cheers and happy mylotting everyone!!!
