Hey out there, mylotters! I'm writing this message out as a big thanks to a bunch of people on this board, for placing your ideas and concepts on my post of "God isn't Real". I always enjoy a good debate, and it's a way for people to get together and share their ideas. I think that all of us learned some great new bits of information about eachother and the world, and I'm really happy that we could all be a part of it. But, there are some people that I want to mention, big posters to that piece, that I want to thank, individually. So, special thanks to (in order of response time on that board); Devilova, momof3kids, Forever_The_Lamb, himzey, debrakcarey, iuliuxd, matersfish, _sketch_, desertdarlene, mantis36, 6precious102, ryanong, vaishnavc, Bluedoll, bestboy19, wonttakelong, and resy21curapika. If it wasn't for all of you guys, then posts like these wouldn't go on the way that they do, and we wouldn't be learning and discussing as much, so thanks so very much! And, Happy Mylotting!

That`s the difference between us and the big guys who are doing debates. They get thousands of dollars to tell the people the same BS we write for a couple of cents.

The seas are parting, the unsighted are healed, the famished are feasting. It's a day of miracles! I am in 100% agreement with iuliuxd! Quick, delete this topic before anyone sees it!

My knowledge and understanding of quantum physics and evolutionary biology and, frankly, science at large is still developing -- a little more every day. And my critical thinking is always put to an immediate test in debates like these. I realize, like iuluixd stated, that what's written here is just the same stuff out there. But, oddly enough, this is the only place I do the whole superstition vs. science thing. I'm a huge fan of guys like Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson and Dr. Michio Kaku and have sat through plenty of lectures and QnAs. But that's stuff dealing with the universe: black holes, quantum theory, the progression (or lack thereof) of string theory, universal expansion, etc. I avoid any scientific lectures, if I can, dealing with science vs. superstition. So while this debate is as old as the concept of religion itself, it's quite new to me. To borrow something from Dr. Tyson, he states that every single difference between man and ape is only 1% of our DNA. That's the difference from sign language and building iPads. A giant leap, but from a minute percentage of difference. I happen to believe that what separates a believer from a nonbeliever is also that small -- a number that's seemingly insignificant yet is huge when you break it down. In short, I want to understand how and why people believe what they believe, because it's a 180 from how and why I believe what I believe. I try to put myself in the shoes of a believer, but I find that I'm incapable of thinking like that. It wasn't always the case, but it is now. I can't seem to get back to a place where I could rationalize a conclusion without a verifiable trail. And I wonder if it's mutual. So, for me, the debate will always wage on, regardless of how often certain things are repeated.

I happen to believe that what separates a believer from a nonbeliever is also that small -- a number that's seemingly insignificant yet is huge when you break it down. Well said. I too find physics fascinating but hard to wrap my head around. Just as some find my faith hard to wrap their head around. To me, science is the understanding behind my faith in God. I only wish I was fluent enough to show you my thoughts.

Well, debates and argue will make life more colorfully. Cause there will be someone who will agree nor disagree with us. Any way, my name on the first list?

No problem ^_^-) Happy mylotting more about what you've been thinking lately because this is how we're here; sharing of thoughts about a lot of things in a particular topic. It does corelate in anyway and make us more firm to what we believe in. There's nothing wrong in sharing here feedback and you can never go wrong learning from other's points of view as well. I got LOL about big posters.. I was like; "literaly? In posted-sized thanks?" **jokes** Really appreciate your thoughts also about the topic. Take care!
