I really wish i could build a company. A real company, at my young age

I arrived close to this only once. But it wasn't a real company. It didn't have a main building. It didn't have no structures to represent what I was doing. I made a good amount of money though I honestly did. I won't say what I did because I honestly don't want anyone to steal my idea. But to give a clue in us dollars i made about us$100 a day. And I never saw the potential the business have until it was too late. This type of business couldn't work out right through the year if i kept it on a non professional level like what I did. The only people working in my business was friends. If I have seen the potential in the business even earlier. Like from about last year, trust me I would have been making about us$500 a day or more. That was what I was aiming for. The business skyrocketed but I couldn't keep up with the sales because like I said I never expected it to go so far. So lack of money in the first run cause the whole process to slow down. But seriously what if I have founded its potential a bit earlier? What if i had build a structure for it and grew it so wide. To be honest I think I could have be a millionaire in the next year or so. I am still thinking about it up to this day but I need to perfect it. That is the only way it can succeed. i just really need a way to perfect it. With that money I could have sent my self to school. But that was just the idea and the calculation behind the plan. I know things might come in the way in the future and cause figures to drop, possibly even significantly. But my plan was just a little bit too late.

I also have the same plan, but I realize it's not that easy. I will try my luck in investing. I'll buy stocks. You need more than enough knowledge about the business. Take your time for you're still so young. You can devote the whole year studying about your business.

My whole year would be more dedicated to learning my actually true career that I am aiming for. A neurosurgeon. I will spend my spare time trying to perfect it though, but not all my time.

Yes. Of course! What I mean in whole year here is whenever you have time. Wow! That's one of the greatest professions. I can see that you'll be successful. Good luck!

I think you really have to believe in your idea first. Would haves and what if's are going to push the idea right out of your mind. You could be a millionaire. Could be but you need to put the idea together and make it stand or nothing will come of it. Everyone can a good idea but it is actually executing it that counts.

And maybe talking to some older and more experienced business people would help too.

That is really true when I think about it. I really need to sort this idea out like seriously. i need to get it perfect or close enough to perfect where I can put it back into action.

Just because it doesn't have a brick and mortar business doesn't mean that it isn't a "real" business

Well let I rephrase and put it this way. In the state that it was in, I couldn't hire people outside my circle (friends). Since people are dealing with my money, the only way I can ensure my money is secure, is if I register it with the government. I had to put all my trust in my friends, and hope they don't rob me. But i feel in the very end, some robbery start to happen, and I didn't understand how or why. I made every record in a book, but I dont know but something went wrong. And i feel as if i lost about us $150. And every dime count to me.

So it sounds like you need to find investors for your company. Or selling shares as some might call it for a promise of a certain return. Either way you should not give up. Just do the math on paper and make sure the you account for if it goes times 10 what you are starting out with. That way you already have the figures figured out and are ready with the extra money "is a savings account earning a little interest maybe". Either way that is my thoughts on the subject. Bryan21764

Think about it like this. For me to get investors in this company, I would have to set up everything professionally. And get it certified by the government and all those things. For this to work out I have to do more planning and everything has to be down pat. In the past, it was merely trial and error. If I want this to excel I need to get all my path ways cleared.

It is great that you have this kind of drive to start your own business. However, I do think that you are going about it all wrong at this point in time. I tend to believe that the best way to start your own business is to start small, like working out of your own home if that is possible and then expand into something that is larger as it grows. This would be the way that you would be able to make the most money and have the least overhead.

Ok so you are saying I should have just continued with the business which were included with my friends alone? You see the big problem I was having with expanding it , is trust issues. At this point in time, I never wanted any rob to rob me and run, so I only used people I trust at the moment and who I am really close to.

Hi! It's never too late, especially for someone young like you. Study it well, and do it again. You know, most of the most successful entrepreneurs the world over have at one time in their life failed at a business, failed at something. And it did not let them stop. All the more that they persevered. You are a visionary, and you have what it takes to make it. Not so many people are gifted with that knack for business. So cliche as it sounds, try and try until you succeed! Age is never an issue. I wish you the best!

Thanks a lot for that, I really appreciate it. I guess I really am going to have to sit down and try to analyse this little idea I have in my head in details. And try the best way to implement it. Like I said the idea that was in my head before could only work in a certain time period. Now it can't work but september it can. just an example, that is why I said it was too late. but I am still going to have to try.

Hi, Renhard, it's fantastic to have such a success at you age! You could disclose everything to me without fears - I've never been able to make my own business. All my life I've been working for other people. But you are still young and, as they say, the life is ahead of you. By the way what happened with your earnings? Did you put some money aside? It's vital for your future to go to school. You should learn how to make good calculations. I wish you to make your own real company and have a happy life. Good luck!

The business was only out for about 2 and a half weeks. And i only made about us$1200. I was really happy but there were certain things i needed for a must. So i finally flew out for the first time in my life. Finally went on a plane, and I went to america. I live in Jamaica. I had to buy a laptop, I will need it for school. I had to buy some other stuff, and a few things for my brothers and sisters. SO now I am only left back with about only $100. Like I said I analyzed the situation and if I had continue it pass that 2 weeks period, then I would have start losing money dramatically. So i had to stop everything there and then. And just smile at my earnings.
