i am in shock but Very Very HAPPY!!!!

my 4 favorites were jessica and skylar for the ladies and phillip and colton for the gents. i was hoping for an all-girl finale but such as it is, i'm happy with the final 2.

i was also looking forward to an all girl finale with of course a female winner but i am also happy with the results and as bad as i would like to see a female finally win after so many years i cant help but like phillip more and i am voting for him.....now that i think about it tho phillip could be in trouble tho because there are a lot of people that also want to see a female win this year so they may vote for jessica just based on that factor. i guess we never can be sure but i am excited to see who will take the title of "the next american idol" only a few days away now!!

who were you 4 original favorites? mine were Skylar, colton, and phillip (never really had a 4th one lol) i agree with you all 3 are very talented and any one of them that was to end up in the top 2 deserved it. i figured that him being the favorite he would have stayed and i now see after the season is almost over that it doesnt matter what the judges want it matters what america wants. i also see that their opinions really dont have that much afect on the voters. Joshua does have a lot of talent. i also wouldnt listen to it outside of the show. his music is hard for me to relate to and the same goes for me. there is no way i could listen to while doing daily tasks. yes no matter what they have came a long way to make it to the top. it is a huge accomplishment for them all. it is great to see phillp and jessica as the top 2 and i am very excited to see the show tomorrow night. i am sure it will be an awesome show and a night to remember :)

Looks like we are both able to celebrate our favorite..PHILLIP!!! I too felt he was very down to earth and also was afraid people would be too influenced by the praise Joshua received. I had to laugh when Phillip went against the recommendations from 'experts'..I think that endeared him to many. He stayed true to himself not matter what and I think we all admire that!!!

i agree with you because even tho he wanted to win the competition he didnt change the person he was to win it. like you said he stayed true to himself and i know that i atleast admired him more for that even if others did not lol. i like to see someone that can take in the advice and use it but only take what they want to from it. it was a little funny tho haha yes we can both celebrate now we have to wait for his surgery to be done with and i am not sure if they do the top 10 concert before he gets his 1st album uner way or not but i can not wait for it to come out :) i am sure i will be buying his music :) GOOOO PHHHIIILLIIPPPPP!!!

the whole show i thought that what the judges had to say and their standing ovations would influence the voters to vote for Joshua but as it seems they did not or i think Phillip would have defiantely gone home and Joshua would have made it to the top 2. once jessica was announced as safe i was sweating the next part and so afraid to see phillip go home so i am very glad he is there for the finale. i also hear that every year the winner and the 2nd prson always make atleast 1 song or 1 album so win or lose i am sure we will hear from Phillip. I agree there is something about phillip that draws me in and i can not put my finger on it. he is unique and each week he comes on the stage with so much energy and so much power and emotion and he has a professional look to him. he knows how to present him self very well on stage and i feel he belongs there. Dont get me wrong Jessica is very very talented but i sometimes feel she is trying to be someone or something that she is not. she is young and she seems to try and act older when she is on the stage and that is not what she needs. i will say jessica may have a chance. i think that it will be a very close competition but phillip has to look out because many people want to end the male winner streak so they may vote for Jessica based on that alone....

it is like a fellow mylotter and i were saying the other night....it is like the judges are not listening to the same song that we are because i liked phillips song rather they did or not. another mylotter had a point in saying that the judges know what they are talking about and they may be true but at the same time i see it diffrently than them most times. like with Hollie or skyler or Colton i liked the songs the judges did not and with many of the other contestants who were getting standing ovations for songs i thought were the worst. there is something about phillip that makes me excited to see him perform each week and i am sure that if he wins i will be following him after he is off the show :) win or lose i am sure we will see phillip again he truely does have a lot of passion and talent. he always comes out on the stage as him and not as a poser trying to be someone else. he has so much energy :) and i wish him the best of luck tomorrow and wednesday :)

both of the performers are very talented. i think it was a great choice by america. jessicas fan base really has gotten stronger/bigger since her save. you did say that LetranKnight and you were right. he was getting standing ovations all the time and i didnt aree with it there were other people that deserved it before he did. i am a phillip supporter and i am very happy that he is there. i also wish the top 2 the best of luck :) it will be a very great showing tomorrow night :)

I had to work tonight, Tuesday, so I did not watch American Idol. I have found your discussion but can not respond because your page is not configured correctly. There is no post comment box. There is no problem with any of the other discussions posted by other persons.

yes i was very happy about the results and i know that there are a lot of Joshua fans that are not happy. each week there will be some happy viewers and some not so happy. at this point i hate to see anyone go home there is alot of talent up there. i agree i think that phillip will be the one to come out on top as the next MALE american idol. then again you are right jesica does have a huge fan base filipino community so it is possible that she will be the one to come out on top. everyone has a right to their opinion and that is yours :) jessica has a lot of talent and Joshua he has talent i just couldnt relate to him. for me i am only able to relate to phillip and outside the show i think i would only listen to phillip.

did you look at the bottom to see if there is a slide bar? me and bigfoot were having fun and got a little carried away with the gooooooo ppphhhiiillliippp stuff lol so it made the screen bigger for some reason so i have to scroll left and right along with up and down to read and respond. not sure this will help you but you can try that if not then we can just siscuss it here that is fine with me :) but i hope that it works for you so you can join that discussion.

So when will this finale show? Is it Tuesday night? Will we know who the winner is on the same night or will there be another night for the result?

the finale performances is tonight (tuesday) and the results will be the next night (wednesday). it would be nice if they would tell us the same night but they have to give america the time to vote before they can say who the winner is.

i am one of those people because i figured Joshua was more than safe and then i figured Phillip would be up there with him as the top 2. now i wanted to see Jessica and Phillip up there but i thought that was a lost cause specially after how the judges talked about the 2nd song he sang the night before. it was so good to see this happen. dont get me wrong Joshua has a lot of talent but for some reason i havent liked him from the start. my grandma did. i think because of the songs he sang we hard to relate to. i will also say i am almost certain Phillip will be the one to win the whole thing now but both of them are very talented and they both have a huge fan base so it is still any bodys game. also they want a female to win to end the male streak. i know tomorrow night will be a great show and it will be a night to remember because they both have so much talent. i WILL be voting for phillip but i wiish them both the best of luck tomorrow and wednesday :)

well i honestly was worried that Phillip would go home tonight and if he got to stay i thought that jessica would be the one to go home but i really like phillip and i am glad that he is here to stay i voted many times for him last night. i still think and hope that phillip will win and become "THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL" but like you said they will give each other a run for their money. they both have a lot of talent and they both deserve to be at the TOP 2 and at this point they both will most likely end up with a career in singing win or lose. usually the TOP 2 atleast record 1 song or album. i am so excited for next week to be here i cant wait. i just have to remember it starts on tuesday instead this week lol

when it came down to Joshua and Phillip i honestly thought that Phillip was going home. If anything i thought it would be Joshua and Phillip or Joshua and Jessica as the top 2 but i am happy at the results of tonight :) it will be an awesome show this coming up week and i can not wait to see it. remember it starts tuesday instead of wednesday :)

my husband and i were also very unhappy when colton was sent home. i was even more unhappy when skylar went home. i felt like they wanted Joshua to win except for the past 2 weeks because even tho the judges "loved" him and they gave him more standing ovations Jimmy was unhappy with things even tho he thought he deserved to be in the top 2. sometimes i have woundered if the show was rigged and the winner was already picked but that is hard to prove...it may not be but when talented people go home when they did it makes you wounder..... yes they are all talented and deserve the top spot just like skyler did also. i am actually hoping to see many of the contestants again some day with thier own albums. i thnk this was the best year so far and there was so much talent that it is possible to see more than just the top 2 or 3 again :) i can not wait until tomorrow to see the show i am sure it will be a good one and i am sure that it will be a close match and a hard one to choose between. i will still be rooting for phillip but i wish them BOTH the best of luck.
