Bad cover version of songs

I think many of you guys experience this, you grow up listening to a song and you really love that song. It means something to you.the song is classic and its timeless. if you make a younger person listen to that song for the first time, they will love it or mistake them as the song sounds current. its a timeless song.... Then suddenly a singer will decide to cover that song without justice or respect to the original. 1st either they make it over the top and have it electronically processed or they demoted it an acoustic song... or they just used the melody and changed the lyrics.... I have nothing against covering songs But I hate bad covers and revivals of songs becoming a hit. You can share the songs that you love that has been butchered.

Pink Floyd's , "The Wall" being covered by a twangy country artist was probably the worst cover I've ever heard. It was interesting but ...geez...Pink Floyd and country don't exactly mix well.

Well you should really take a listen to this one. Have you heard the Pink Floyd version of it? I've heard Janice Joplin, Lynard Skynard and alot of the older bands done to country and done quite well but this one was just ...just....there are no words. I guess I actually ended up laughing.

I remember someone making a disco version of a rock ballad that I liked. I felt like I want to murder a singer.

I think I know the ones you talk about and yeah they were rage inducing.I also hate the covering of recent songs, then act like the original singer didnt exist. I have nothing againts covering songs but it should be a tribute of respect to the original.

Celine Dion dint sing alone....A rock band known as Heart did.... Remember MYMP.... a band who depended their income to covering songs. I have nothing againts covering songs but it should be a tribute for the original...not a lazy way to make an album.
