4 lbs gained. Not good.

I know for sure that I wont be making my goal of 150lbs by the end of the month. It's not going to happen because I've gained 4lbs since finally losing some. I haven't stuck to my diet, and that's the issue. Being on the road all day almost every day, I don't have time to go shopping and get what I need to eat instead of eating fast food when I'm out. But that's going to change, I'm going to make sure of it. I need to crack down on my habits and stop eating foods that I shouldn't be eating. But my body has been craving sugar that I've been denying it, that's been affecting me as well, even though I'm not getting much of it at all. I know I need some, but I'm just not getting any I guess. I'll get there, it will just take a little longer than planned.

Try to eat more veggies when your on the road, in fast food there are veggie salads that you can take so that you can cut down some of your recent diet. Sometimes lifestyle really the reason for gaining weight, I love sweets too but I change it with fruits rather chocolates. Try and try and you will achieve.

Hang in there, ups and downs happen when trying to lose weight. You might want to check the diet you are following - perhaps it is missing essential nutrients and that is why you are having cravings. I find it is better to give into my cravings now and then when I am dieting - if I do that I am less likely to just binge. Will send positive energy for positive weight loss your way. :-)

Hi kris182_2000, Someone told me losing weight is a lifestyle, after experienced it by myself I agreed with that saying, right now you just have to change your meals, go for less calories food that are healty, and by doing some light exercises, you can lose some great pounds. Wish you all the best!

Join a CSA. If you devote much of your grocery budget to a CSA share, you: a) support local agriculture. b) spend less time and money at the grocery store. c) always have healthy food on hand. d) only have to do a once-a-week pickup of the food, which generally takes just minutes to accomplish. Putting together a healthy meal can be done in 45 minutes or less. Often, I have dinner together in about half-an-hour--and it definitely doesn't come out of a box or a can. As has been mentioned, listen to your body about its cravings. However, meet these cravings in healthy ways. Roast carrots or a honey-drizzled baked apple could easily satisfy your sweet tooth. If you have a chocolate craving, why not indulge in some chocolate dipped strawberries or bananas?

I am sorry that you have not managed to reach your goal, but you should not worry about it and just start thinking about what you are able to do to reach your goal from now instead. I am losing weight at the moment as well, and I know just how annoying it can be when we realise that we have worked hard during the course of the week and have actually gained weight instead of losing it, however you just have to accept that it happens sometimes during our weight loss, and sometimes there isn't all that much that you are able to do about it.

You need to get your sugar in healthy forms like dried fruits and honey and maple syrup and molasses. Those satisfy without so much of the crash and burn. I have not gotten on a scale in ages and I really do not do what I should toward losing weight, either.

Hi Kris, I suggest you don't give up. I know that it is easier to binge on junk food when you are on the run and just need something fast. But within the fast food restaurant, try to select healthier choices within it. Do you actually record your calories? I suggest you do that, so you know how much calories you are eating and how much is expended in energy (exercise). There are days when your diet goes down the drain because someone asks you out on a buffet spread dinner or there's delicious, high-calorie food at a party. Keep quantities down to satiate your cravings.

Hi Kris, i am also working on losing some weight but it seems i am not successful. I went on a vacation and i could not resist the foods prepared by my family. I missed those foods and the moment i saw them i could not help but eat till i am really full. Now i am back to reducing my calorie intake. I don't know exactly the calories i need for my weight and age but i see to it that i consume half only of what my usual diet was. There are times that i feel i have lost some weight but it is fluctuating. I could feel when i gain weight because i feel heavy and its hard to breath when i climb stairs. I think we just have to keep trying and have a little self discipline. Good luck to us!
