Things to Think About

When wondering who to vote for and watching the media desperately to tell one what to do, some should consider a few obvious things to think about.
What do you want? What is the most important thing to you?
Then before you get all emotional look at things a bit more logically.
1. Jobs. The president doesn't have to create any jobs. So for those hoping the unemployment rate will go up, it most likely wont. There would need to be many many jobs created for the percentage to go up to something worthwhile.
No company is going to create any jobs here with all the mess that people want. The candidates can claim they work to have companies create jobs and much more, but they are not necessarily able to do so without as I have stated before 'biting the hand that feeds them' in a sense.
2. Class Warfare. Stop and think about the whole "class warfare" thing. It is not just democrats doing it, but they are more outspoken with it. The Republicans are doing the same thing except blaming people for being poor. It isn't a big production, and most people miss it because its not. A lot of republicans I have met believe that everyone, yes everyone, can be rich, but they are just too lazy to work for it or too stupid to know how to do it.
3. Buzzwords. Just because either of them say the words "change", "fix", or any other key buzzwords, does not mean they will do it. Politicians are there to make money just like you want to make money when you go to work everyday. If NONE of the politicians were there to just make money and keep making it anyway possible... then we might have more things done in this country. You can reference as far back as you can remember, but it doesn't change the fact that they are there to make money. Just because you say things publicly to the American people doesn't mean you have not done one private deal with the companies who sponsor you or give donations. These buzzwords are designed to make you lean towards one or the other.
4. Taxes. Most republicans have their people thinking that the tax money is going to social programs but its not. More than half of what people get taken out in federal or state tax goes to other things including fixing roads and bailing out companies and paying your politicans. There is also the payments for the secret service not only for the current president but every former president. Democrats have people believing that their money is going more into taxes so the rich can stay rich. The fact is EVERYONE's tax money has been wasted by both parties and will continue to be. Look at your paychecks at and/or those of the average American... you don't pay that much. Though its also a lie that no tax liability means you don't pay them or you get it all back. The fact is most people don't get all that money back. You may get a fraction of your state taxes. You don't get what you paid into SS or any other tax back which means yes anyone collecting a paycheck pays taxes and no it is not all given back with income tax.
5. Grant Money. The U.S. has a large supply of grant money and all you have to do is write a proposal and hope it gets accepted. This includes any type of research, home, auto, and even VACATION!!! That is right. If someone sends in a well written proposal discussing how they work too much and need a vacation and can prove a need for it... they can get a grant for a vacation. Rather than wasting money on that or "researching" whether or not shrimp can run on a treadmill, the government could be using some of that money to take care of the debt or help out college students a bit more than they do. College Grads would be able to help stimulate the economy more if they didn't graduate to $50K+ in debt.
6. Religion. A president's religion does NOT make him a good leader. Yes, it may make you feel closer to him because he shares the same religion as you do, but it is still like ant feeling closer to a boot as it crawls past.
7. Former Professions. A president's profession or former profession does NOT make him a good leader. If you want to look at that, then look and see if the presidential candidate has started a small business on his own and look at what happened to the business. If the business was taken over and failed by a new successor that is not their fault, but if the business failed when it was under their command then there is an issue that people should look at. If someone managed to fail at dealing with their own money, would they fail at dealing with yours in a business sense? Some people do learn from their mistakes though and that is another thing to look at.
8. Health Care. There will be many health care plans out there. Rather than listening or wanting to hear a health plan for many uninsured Americans, they should make a plan so that even private health care can be affordable. This wouldn't be an issue if our doctors got paid more than a fraction of what people will pay to support their sports teams, movie stars, etc.
Finally....
Just remember that no matter who gets voted in or out of office that you don't have to choose the Democratic or Republican party. There are other parties to choose from not just the most paid ones. Want to possibly see a change, then do your part in your communities and vote out everyone in congress. Want to send a message to these parties to stop screwing over the American people with pretty words... organize a bit of the election on your own and spread the word about another candidate from a different party. Show them that the people of America will not deal with their lies anymore. If the Democrats or Republicans want the people's support then they will get it together and remember they are to be there for the people and not themselves.

I am sure. I did make one mistake in the post though. I meant 'those who want the unemployment rate to do down, it probably wont'. I didn't mean to say go up. I don't think anyone wants that.
I am well aware of how many people will argue with me on this. After all, I just said both parties are full of crap and the American people are screwed.
That in itself, for the ones that don't think, calls for an argument.
However, I didn't blame either party for the mess. I just flat out said that neither party would fix it. I guess I better get ready for the ones who watch/read both sides of paid mainstream media. How fun.

I consider these points however I look at other things too.
I also look at the Actions that they have done because as people say talk is cheap while actions are expensive. I would rather have a president that talks less and does more than a president that talks a lot but does little. So this year neither of the two party one machine parties are getting my vote Romney and Obama might as well just go on one ticket because neither of them will get my vote.
I am going for Gary Johnson because he has a record of doing not just a record of talking.
I would say good list though. I liked the inclusion of Buzzwords.
