I am four months pregnant now with my first baby and I am very excited. However, there is just one thing that bothers me a lot. I couldn't sleep in my usual time cycle. I usually sleep at 9pm but months after, there were changes it takes 5hours for me to fall asleep. There are even times that i cannot sleep for the whole night as compared before. What makes me worry now is the health of my baby. Does too much excitement causes Insomnia?

Insomnia is pretty normal in a lot of pregnant women. Whether it be the minor aches and pains, hormonal imbalances, or just the inability to find a comfortable position to sleep in many pregnant women are dreaming of a good nights sleep.

Try getting a full body pillow, and using it to support your back as you sleep on your side. That allows the weight of your stomach to not sit right on top of you which restricts your breathing. I've also seen a special water that is supposed to help you sleep. You could ask your doctor is this is safe for you to drink.
