So, if you notice it, or you get notification from either company, you should know there won't be any more unlimited data plan if you still sign up with them. I also experienced such slow connection through T - mobile too, if I reach certain amount of data usage, my connection just snail, or there is not internet connection at all. That best I could just switch to WiFi; but not all places would provide free WiFi though. So, I guess Sprint is the only company left to provide unlimited data usage plan. How is the network if there is someone sign up with Sprint? Is that true they won't slow you down?

We had AT&T but dropped it for Straight Talk. We have decent reception and for $45 a month we have unlimited everything. I don't care for contracts. The cellular companies are milking its customers and most of them have crappy service in my area. I prefer the pay as you go plans myself with unlimited everything. Good luck to all of those who have the other plans.

I have tmobile so I know what you are talking about with the slow connection. I even have 3G to help, but it still is bad if there is no connection nearby. I will be looking at other providers for the next phone I buy.

For typical everyday users, it shouldn't really matter. Only people who are affected by that are those who play games or music a lot through internet. I've used few different smart phones for work & I rarely needed more than 5 gig/month. That's with over 1,000 emails & large files going back & forth. One guy I work with has iphone & he has used 600meg & it's only his 3rd day into his billing cycle. He listens to Pandora on his phone & it's nothing but streaming music. My brother-in-law's son uses around 12 - 15gig/month because he plays internet games on his iphone. Fortunately, he his unlimited data plan is grandfathered in so he doesn't have to pay overages.

I am with T-Mobile, and I certainly know what you are talking about the connection slowing down. What they do is throttle it, if you go over 5 gig. I have never ever come close to using that much a month. the most I have ever used is 2 gig. I don't like the idea that they slow the connection down either, but hopefully, they will come to realize that maybe they should just make it unlimited all the way. I do like T-Mobile though as I have been with them for awhile, and they are the only ones I have liked the best. My daughter has Sprint, and she has the unlimited plan even though she never does anything with her phone, as far as going on the internet with it is concerned. My grandson is 17, and he uses it all the time, so for her that is ideal. Since I don't use the internet on my phone everyday, I am satisfied with the 5 gig plan for now. Take care, and have a very good day.

Well so far, as far as I know, not only did Verizon do away with the unlimited plan, they are also taking it away from the people that already had it. I did get a notice from AT&T that they will no longer offer unlimited plans, but they did say they will keep the ones that people had. They will not change that. It is getting stupid on their part. I could jump ship right now and go to the company Straight Talk and only pay 45 per month for everything unlimited. I think the big phone companies are not thinking right. I would figure they would make more money offering lower priced unlimited plans. As a matter of fact, there should not be plans at all. It should be a one lump amount per month for everything. The little companies are going to wind up doing better.
