http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2012/05/democrats_inadvertenly_open_the_door_to_obamas_past.html All's fair in love, war and politics. So, if the liberals want to go back almost 50 years on Romney's past, bringing up a prank and trying to make is sound like he's a gay basher right after Obama HAS to announce he's for gay marriage; why is it that Obama has had his records sealed? And WHY does a public figure, one who is supposedly so powerful, one who has run a campaign on 'transparency' sealing his records?

The answer to this question sure eludes me. Why did his publicist up unti 2007 promote a book that was titled "Born in Kenya"? At least that is according to some e mails I received.

I was under the impression it was a book cover. I was really surprised when Hilary accepted her position under Obama as I was thinking there was bad blood. I saw that on Yahoo where Clinton is actually saying that Romney's business sense or history is "stirling". Or was it "Sterling" forgive me for any misspellings.

I was surprised too. But then stop and think-she is a woman who craves power. And perhaps she was given an offer she couldn't refuse? I don't trust her as far as I can throw her. She is not a nice lady herself.

No, she is not, and yet, hanging around our "fearless leader" she has seemed to take on a much more responsible and credible persona as compared to him. She and Bill are becoming "statesmen". And if I were given a choice between her and O I would choose her.

Err... I have an idea! Do you think the records might be sealed to protect his family? Perhaps he would like to be known for what he has done rather than who he is, or rather, was? This is really facing up to be a tough election year for you guys up there... & you still have to wait until November before it's all over? Will it really be "all over" in November? When will the mud-slinging end & the policy issues debate begin? I can't imagine seeing no mention of American politics on our news services & we have to put up with our own socialist government's poor performance, blundered spending habits, more new taxes & the riduculous nonsense to try to justify it all. It's always good to know that somewhere else in the world, everyone else has got it just as bad or worse than what we have here!

As far as I know, he is the only American president to ever have sealed his records. Most donate copies to foundations or they're deposited in a Presidential Museum. American's expect certain things from their leaders. Transparency is one of them and because this man PROMISED a transparent presidency, we are bit peeved he lied. Not to mention, the mainstream media actually STOLE Bush's (W) Harvard transcripts (which weren't SEALED btw, and published them as a way to embarrass him. He apparently got a D in one class.

Look out sweetie, there are people on here who would eat you alive for saying something nice about G.W. Bush. lol I hope for a world where we don't 'expect' our leadership to lie, cheat and steal. Will I get it? Not unless I move to New Zealand I guess. Watching the beauty of their scenary in Lord Of The Rings, it might not be a half bad idea.

Transparency? In the USA? Isn't that, like, one of the least transparent nations on earth according to Transparency International's annual data? I mean, we're at number 8 & knew virtually nothing about the Prime Minister we now have who got the job by knifing "Kevin '07". I think she has a biography out, but there's nothing really in it because she's younger than I am (but she looks much older!). New Zealand, I think, still holds the top spot in the world for being the most transparent - but what would they have to hide anyway? Okay, getting back to America now... I guess transparency has to begin somewhere, & hey, why not start with the President? And don't politicians always lie? There has been nothing but non-stop lies & total backflips on promises since our government made it into office. Can we expect it otherwise? Perhaps that's one reason so many Americans don't vote? I am actually shocked that President Bush got a D in one class. That only proves to me one thing: that while most Harvard students pay others to attend classes & do all the work for them, your Mr Bush actually did the work - at least in that class - all by himself! And what's even more astounding is that he had the money to pay someone else to do the work for him & yet refused! Now that's a President worth voting for!

HI Deb sorry I have not been online much lately. Weather is to darn nice and I get imploded with Fox news for several hours every night with hubby. From what I am reading through various emails I am getting, Florida is holding a hearing on June 18th to get O off our ballot. Earlier I read that he has mentioned Kenya so many times as his birth place. However I got a interesting piece that stated there are no records anywhere for his mother or her being in hawaii. I am beginning to think maybe she had him in Indonesia with the man that supposedly adopted him. Now remember these are just MY THOUGHTS. How he got to Hawaii messes with my mind since no records of him there, but yet the Ayres schooled him as a student exchange. That was told by the post man that talked to people on his delivery area. Now as to Hilary, while I agree Dems can be scary, When she was running against him my money was on her. But the decision was first black man or first woman? I don't think the US was ready in any caliber to accept a woman in such a high office. Yet even if you don't like all she has done, it boggles my mind that she has managed to be so many places to try to remain consistant with peace for all countries while our dear Prez gets to go on yet another vacation, or round of golf, and lets not forget he is busy campaigning this year so he cannot think of getting a bill passed. he has a good record going 3 1/2 years as Prez and still not passed one bill on his watch. thats kind of like getting all F's in school then wondering why you are not going to graduate. I did read or hear on the news last year that if the O won again she would not stay in her office. I know I certainly would not with the way she has had to negotiate all thats going on all over the world. Genuinely, she deserves a very much well paid for vacation. I love your discussions I just hate some of the idiotic answers we get to very simple discussions!

I live near Arkansas. How to explain this? The people of Arkansas KNOW things about the Clintons. They are respected as 'good ol' boys' kind of way. Let's put it this way, they know how to get things done.. as one Arkansas resident told me. lol kinda like bringing the Godfather a gift if you want a favor, and knowing he owns you for the rest of your life. Watch the Hatfields and the McCoys, Arkansas operates like that TODAY. lol I've been following here, can't say I'm impressed. I felt sorry for her when Bill got caught in the Monica thing, but really no need to. She's got a girlfriend too. So...do I think she is a strong lady, yes. Would I ever vote for her, no. Why, number one reason, she ok'd the sending of about a billion and a half to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. She's just as progressive if not more than Obama, and smarter. Makes her more dangerous. lol
