Much as how many times , I would tell my husband to try to take a day off in a week, he wouldn’t. He take it so seriously, his being the team leader of the branches of their company in our place.
We would always take an early Sunday mass on Sundays and do some groceries then he would report to work. But he would come home early on the evening to have his needed rest, since it is Sunday.
And so during his rest time, I am there to fully assist him on what he needs and we make the most of it to bond.
I thank God because He created Sunday as time of rest. At least, my husband can go home early to rest since it’s a Sunday while I can rest the whole day since luckily it’s our company’s official rest day.

SIMPLYD, yes is good to have a day of rest weather it Sundays
or any other day...
I believe we all need a "mental health" day every once in a
while,,because if we don't our bodies will surely let us know.
that overworked body will eventually catch up with us....

Correct, my friend!
I noticed my husband losing weight since he started being the team leader of the branches he handles. He is so dedicated to his work that even on Sundays he would report to work.
When he was just an ordinary employee, he is half day - morning only during Sundays. That's because he said it is double pay.
But now that he is the team leader, it's whole day to work even on Sundays. He said, a lot of staff are absent on Sundays and he has to pitch in.

That's true ajithlal, i always make up for my lost sleep on Sundays too.
I love Sundays! Not only it is a time for rest, but a day to worship God in His sacred home.

Well, I work swing and I know it is hard sometimes to get the much needed rest that I am supposed to be getting. It makes it quite hard sometimes, and so I usually end up going and going to where I usually have to stop and take a nap usually on Thursday or Friday on my day off and just regroup. Or end up one of my work days sleeping a little longer. Back when I worked days, I always came home and took a cat nap for a bit just to refresh and regroup as well.

Well, my friend that is already your rest day. Different from the usual, which is Sunday, because work is from Monday to Friday or Saturday.
Yes, we tend to take our rest day as a day to simply catch the much needed sleep we so lacked during the working days. That way, we are reinvigorated.

We are not robots who don't get tired, right winterose? So, we need to rest, to reinvigorate and be productive again the next days when we work.

Hi,
you are right. Our body needs rest. We are working in the office or any other work, for the whole day and we should take some rest. It is necessary for our physical and mental health. We get strength after resting for working on the next week.

That's right my friend. Food can replenish our physical strength but our mental aspect can only be replenished well by sleeping and relaxing. Thus, we need a rest day.

A rest day could really reinvigorate us the next day when we go back to work. It takes away the boredom of our same everyday work at our job place.
We go back to work refreshed the next day.

I also think that our bodies need rest and Sunday is the day we can take all the rest and sleep. I also tries not to do much work on Sundays and tries to go to bed early and to sleep throughout the Sunday and Sunday night. I think good night sleep during Sundays helps us to get up fresh in the morning. I also think we need to thank God because He created Sunday as time for rest.

For us Christians , Sunday is the day for God and for ourselves. This gives us the time to reinvigorate and enjoy without pressures of deadlines or whatever.

I work 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. every Sunday, for me it is not a day of rest. Even though I work each Sunday, I am very thankful for my job. The pay is minimal but I work for very kind hearted people who are always there to help you when you need it most.
I miss going to church but I don't get upset because I cannot make it due to my job. No need to worry about it because to have this job I have to work Sundays. I take my rest during the middle of the week.

How i wish my husband would take a lesson or two from your husband.
Mine was away all day leaving me with three hyper kids while doing chores
while he was away at a birthday. Actually there is nothing wrong with him going to the birthday but i got mad because he was there from 10am till `10 in the eve! i even told him in a pissed manner, its not even his birthday!

Oh let him do that once in a while, jazel.
But when it's almost every Sunday, then it's time to really get mad and talk about it.
Or maybe next time, it will be your turn to go out and leave him with the kids.

Based on your title, it is true that we really needs rest. In our work, sunday is the only day for rest. We worked until saturdays but go home early.
having a rest is not only for our body but for our family too. Even for our busy days, we must still a lot time for our family which is really important than work.

That's true. We need the rest for our bodies and also the time to be with our family.
But my husband is so dedicated to his work as the team leader that he would pitch in for some who would suddenly get ill or have something to attend to on Sundays.
Though, he makes it a point to go home earlier than usual on Sundays to be with me and have some needed rest.

You must be very proud of your husband. He's a dedicated worker and a good provider as well. I'm sure he hasn't forgotten to be a good lover to you as well.

Yes, Toni i am so proud of him. Although, a part of me is angry for abusing his body like that.
That one, being a good lover shouldn't be taken for granted or else. . . .
We will be celibate for 2 months because of my recently done operation.

There are indeed people like my husband who thinks that working can give them a better life. But little do they know that their mechanism (their bodies & mind ) are slowly deteriorating from the constant stress of working.
It's a good thing though that at times, i would wake up early so we could go to church before he goes to work. And in the afternoon, he closes early so he can have his rest.
So, i make sure i am there with him while he rests.
