Eat fatty fish to avoid kidney cancer. Fatty fish include salmon, herring, sardines and mackerel. Lean fish were cod, tuna and sweet water fish. One or more servings of fatty fish per week were linked to a 44 per cent decreased risk of kidney cancer, compared to those who did not eat fish at all. Consistent long-term consumption of fatty fish was linked to a 74 per cent reduction in kidney cancer risk. It may be the omega-3 fatty acids and the vitamin D content of fatty fish which decrease the cancer risk.

Fatty fish is extract for made fish oil that containing EPA and DHA that can be found at marine plankton, salmon and herring. And fish oil are not the same with cod liver oils. Cod liver oil is extracted from cod liver and is an excellent source of vitamins A and D. Fish oils contain very little vitamin A and D.

We eat either canned or fresh salmon at least once a week. I also like sardines and tuna. I would eat it more if not for the mercury content.
