Ray Charles  

I find it very ironic that Georgia banned him from playing there and now the song "Georgia on my Mind" is the state song of Georgia.

I wish the movie would have continued with the prime years of Ray's life and after he left the show business scene.

I think Ray Charles was an excellent singer. I honestly don't think he could have put that much soul into his music if he didn't have all the problems. I mean, think about it - how much emotion can you put into singing about something if it never happened to you? Most good soul or blues music comes out of pain or suffering. I have seen the movie Ray and I think that Jamie Foxx did a stellar job portraying Ray Charles.

i like ray charles voice a lot it got a good vocal not that i know that much about it but you can lissin to his voice a long time and thats cool. As the other guy said blues and sometimes soul is all about pain, so maybe the drugs did the must of the work finishing the musik.
