|  How many of you open your presents on Christmas eve instead of Christmas morning? My husband and i usually open our gifts to each other on christmas eve after the kids have fallen asleep, and then in the morning the kids open theirs, anyone else???

| |  When I was a kid we opened christmas eve. But when I had children of my own they got to open the gifts under the tree from friends and family on Christmas eve. And then after they were fast asleep santa would come and leave presents for x-mas morning.
Now that I am a gradmother we open them when ever we can all get together.

| |  Growing up, we always opened all the gifts (everyone did) on Christmas Eve, then we got the Santa gifts Christmas Day. We pretty much do the same now.

| |  I like to do it right on christmas morning, but this year is unlike any other, my son was born last christmas in the evening so this year its his 1st birthday, first christmas morning, my first year with baby. Of course all our family want to join in the celebration, so my mother, step dad and grandmother are comming 2nd week in december for christmas/birthday, because they work through the real holiday. Then well have another christmas / birthday with my inlaws on christmas eve. Then well do christmas morning, with my birth father, and a few close friends. ahhhhhh I'm just stresssed out looking st it, the tree is already up.

| | It realy doesn't matter when you celebrate it. There were times I worked and we had it the day after. I know my sister made a holiday up in between thanksgiving and christmas they call it ThanksMas that way her children and their spouces can go to other family functions with out the stress of picking wich parents house to go to. | | | |

| |  Aw man, your poor little boy. My birthday is also Christmas and it was so hard when I was little because no one really cared about my birthday because they were getting presents too. My parents did try to make it a little special though. After dinner was my birthday only, no more Christmas. We tried the mid-year thing once, that didn't work out - except that I had 2 birthdays that year!!
PLEASE don't do the "here's on gift for Christmas and Birthday" that was the worst...

| |  When I was growing up we always opened 1 present, our pick, on Christmas Eve then opened all the rest Christmas day with the Santa gifts. Since I have children I have continued to that it is so much fun to watch the kids pick the biggest gift which is not ALWAYS the best gift. It gets better and better every year as they think they have gotten wiser from the year before!
