I was told that there was a ghost at the old WalMart building that I used to work in before the new store was built. I never saw it myself, but some used to say that there was a little boy ghost who played in the toy section of the store late at night after the store was closed...

Me and my mom stay together, at times our bed of the living rooms creaks with a sound and both of us start speculating who was sitting there my father or my mother's brother who are not in this world.

My family and I shared a house with spirits. Most people run when I say that, or they at least take a couple of giant steps back. But it is the truth, and we were quite happy about it. I first became aware that we had a ghostly housemate right after moving into the house. It was an older home that had not been well-loved in the past. We did what we could to fill it with warmth and light. Perhaps this is what caused them to become curious. At any rate, the first time I heard one of the spirits, I was working at our computer. There was a rather loud measured clumping of heavy footsteps ascending the stairs. These footsteps continued across the floor of the outer room, entered the bedrrom and stopped behind me. I turned in my chair, thinking it was my husband, only to find no one there. Shaking my head a bit, I turned back to the computer. Still, I felt as though someone was hovering over my shoulder. This event repeated itself so many times, that I began to be startled when someone WAS actually behind me! Other times while the entire family was downstairs, we could hear footsteps walking overhead on the second floor. While all of this was quite interesting, the next attempted contact nearly stopped my heart! I was sitting on a loveseat, again, upstairs, when I felt a very light touch on the top of my head, gently swirling my hair around. I leaped to my fee, breaking the contact. There was no one there. The hair touching occurred twice more. But I was not so unnerved as the first time. Other oddities included someone I could not see sitting on the bed with me, though I could feel their weight when they sat down on the bed. My husband would see orbs of light and shadows and my daughter would see shapes. They seemed playful and loved to hide things from us. Occasionally, the aromas of different foods and desserts could be detected when no one was even NEAR the kitchen. Whoever the cooking spirit was must have set a very nice table! We also were constantly cleaning tiny fingerprints from the computer monitor and upstairs television screen. We started treating these spirits as part of the family. It seemed to us that humans and spirits could co-exist quite comfortably. We considered ourselves fortunate to have "housemates" who took up no space, and didn't use any lights or water. They also did not run up the telephone bill. At times, we really miss them.

how wonderful that you were able to live peacefully with the spirits...my sister also is living with one now..she turns on the lights, opens doors and drawers, has even turned on the kitchen faucet..if my sister gets a little aggravated, she justs asks her to calm it down and she obliges. More people should have these wonderful experiences and be able to handle them with the love you obviously did. Thank you so much for sharing that.
