I have had tennis elbow for about 10 weeks. Dispite rest and a course of anti inflammatories it does not seem to be getting better. what else can I try.

If it is that bad, you should talk to your doctor about cortisone shots. You have to get them every few months though. But I have heard it works.

I would google 'tennis elbow' to see how long the recovery time is...also i woulld be in contact with my dr to see what the problem was (if any) - what about physio?

My son-in-law has been on disability leave from work for 6 weeks due to tendinitis, which is basically tennis elbow. He has been going to physical therapy twice a week plus the doctor put him on Mobic. He also got a shot in the elbow twice. Don't know of what. He was on no lifting of anything over 5 lbs. He went back to work yesterday. If you have not you should talk to your doctor.

i`d sugest u to ice your elbow
donot allow your muscles to be iced (just take an ice cube and roll it around your elbow.)do ot ice the mucsles connecting your elbow try and avoid them
try doing this 5 to six times with in 2 hours with equal intervals .
try doing this also for 3 yours if u wont be using your arm for the next 8 hours or so
keep doing this regularly and u`ll see great improvement .
their are also very good exercises tell me how u feel after this treatment and i`ll tell u wat to do

A doctor once told a friend of mine that when you sit at a table or in a way that your arm is propped up, you should put a folded towel under your elbow to cushion it. My friend did this and it really did help. It took a little bit to get into the habit, but my friend said it was well worth it.
