 I'm interested in starting a childrens photography business from home, and doing house visits to peoples homes, or they can come to the studio I set up. Whichever they prefer. First of all does this sound like a good idea for a home business to you guys, second, how much would you pay for quality professional photos of your kids and third, does anyone know of any good websites I can have a look at to see how I go about setting up, and registering a business? I live in Melbourne, Australia...

| 1. niko72 (95) | 4 years ago |  hey, i live in australia too and i think it is almost impossible get a reputable name in child photography on the internet, hav u ever thought about looking into a franchise, or starting locally so verbal advertising gets around? even if u do open up a chid photography in ur own home, i think it will be hard to maintain professionaltiy

My daughter is studying photography in CA, and she has done childrens birthday parties for a few people, and there does seem to be a market for that. I think a lot of parents like having more impromtu type photos, too, as opposed to staged looking pics.
I know she had several links to web sites, but I don't know what they are. If you want to add me to your friends list, I will ask her for some sites and send them to you.

He had awesome pictures with so many natural backgrounds. he just charge $5.00 for the one 5x7 picture. Your looking for much stress doing this. I would just go to a park and pass out cards. also show some photos of other kids so parents can trust you. Start with your family and friends. yes charge them too. This is your start up money. Walgeens photos r cheap.
