I feel so stressed out not being able to write these few days as I am an inspiration writer, I wonder it’s the same with all writers, something has to impress me so hard that I’ll sit down to write about it as my thoughts would just flow out. Its not that I am not inspired now, I am hit hard by certain things but still something or the other is hindering my concentration to sit and write.. like right now I sit to write this, here’s my dog vigorously scratching me to inform me that my daughter has left him back, so I pick him up, tell him that she has to go for the tuitions,(hope he understands), and so he’s comforted by my love and kisses so fails to get down but lies down on 50% of my laptop, while I type with the remaining 50% taking care not to pull on its hair. And one other problem is I feel comfortable to write in my laptop than in a diary or notebook. How do you people write and how about the inspiration thing. Do u just sit and write.

I find time to write every day because I don't have an office job. Mind you, not doing that is bad for my bank account but good for my sanity. I usually wake up around 10 of 11 o'clock in the morning, I'm a late sleeper always have been and employers hate that. Yet another reason for me no to have an office job. I write some or dictate. I post, I check my earnings, I eat breakfast. I go out, I do something usually related to social change or writing or just errands. I come back, I write more. I watch TV, I play with the cat, I eat, I write more. I usually write until at least 1am.
I realize I'm lucky to have all this time to write and pursue the craft. Most people aren't as lucky as me. I have benefits to help with things like rent and food. I don't have to have a day job. So maybe I'm not the best person to give you advice but if it were up to me I would try getting up a half an hour earlier or going to bed a half an hour later, whatever suits your body clock best and dedicating the half an hour to writing. Not house cleaning or playing with your kids, but writing. Make it a sort of sacred time and make sure everyone in your house knows about it so they know not to bother you.

I know what you mean. When I get to that point I will go and take a shower, because that's where I get all my good ideas. Have you tried that? I guess it works because you're by yourself with no disctractions, and the warm water feels so soothing and the ideas flow more freely when you're relaxed.
