| |  I suppose Wuthering Heights is the kind of book that is either loved or hated. You have to be in the right mood to read it, or you will just find the deep, passionate emotions ridiculous. The reason for why it's so big in literature I think is that if you've got the matching personality, you will really, really get into it. For me, it's one of the best books I've ever read. | |  It's difficult to say what's so special about it. I also think it's all about intensity. Everything there seems to be 'more' than anybody is ever likely to experience himself. I also think it's absolutely fascinating that Emily Bronte herself has never loved any man or woman who was not family - as far as biographics know, but her sister seemed to be pretty certain about that when interviewed after Emily died. How can anybody just imagine something so strong like these emotions?

| |  I have read other novels that have been doused in emotions and intensity. What I found to be unique about it was that it was being told to someone else. So it was like a story within a story. Know what I mean? The narrator is telling the story to a traveler, i simply loved it.
