Why is there a fee of $50 per month??

cause they give you 5 websites, and the reg dental vision script and chirp discount free for being a broker but i think its mainly cause when members sign up they dont call you with a ton of?s they can call the company so i think its paying for the customer service, lol but hey at least its all a tax write off;) this yr im deducting a laptop my cell phone and the fee's and the materials i buy both from the comany and ebay, and even advertising cost:P im expecting about 1500 just from my biz;) ~sweet~

Sounds interesting, but I've just never been one to pay someone in order to make money, especially a recurring monthly fee of $50 (yikes!). Good luck to you though. It seems like this is the perfect opportunity for you. Congrats!

Oh one more thing! That is a good point you made about tax write offs. Most people (in case anyone didn't know) can get tax write offs for the things they use while working at home. For example, if you use your computer, you can exempt your internet bill, printing papers, etc. You can exempt phone bills if you are working on the phones a lot. You can get even get a write off on electricity since you need it to be able to work!

Yeah, I agree. Those paid to read e-mail can be ok for "chump change" as you say and for even testing out new products, but people who are really looking to earn a full time salary with those type programs are just wasting their time unless they have oodles and oodles of referrals that actively participate.

Working at home is also not for everyone. People may think that they really want to do that, but find when they start that they lack the discipline because it is so easy to get sidetracked when working from home.

Working at home, for some, is not very easy, either. For instance, in my case, I am constantly being interrupted...either the dog needs to be walked/fed or someone needs me to get something for him/her. I am often given the impression that some people around me don't take my work or schedule seriously...and that really annoys me.

That's another VERY good point, and especially if you have a spouse and kids. Working at home doesn't afford the peace of being in an office where all you are supposed to DO is work for the most part. When working at home, distractions from others seem to be the norm because it is so easy for people to think" Well, he/she is right here at home, maybe it won't matter if I bother them for a few mins.". It takes a dedicated person to work at home, especially full time, but the rewards are worth it.

Another bit of a downside is when someone stands over your shoulder and looks at what you're doing as if watching television. Yes, yes, PC monitors look like TVs, but please let me work!

Well if you are gonna get a rottweiller then you may need to invest in a nuzzle/muzzle..hmm...maybe this work at home thing isn't as good as it seems if we keep having to invest more! Nah..I wouldn't trade this to go back to commuting in dreaded traffic for anything.

I'll just go back to having a messy room. Not very pretty and very, very dangerous, but at least no one will walk in on me then.

On a serious note...I have gotten very lucky at times; earlier this year I signed on as an independent contributor/editor for, as they say in game shows, a major software company. I edit the new manuals and training materials. On the plus side, I get big paychecks. On the minus side, it is on-and-off and unpredictable.

That is very cool! I would love to edit those manuals. Some of the smelling in them is hilarious and some is atrocious. (You DO see what I mean, right??) lol

I did have my own secretarial business for awhile and then gave that up to type resumes for a company based in Florida (I live in New Jersey). Big mistake! Now I do neither. I cannot afford to start my own business again, so basically, I'm one of those people constantly searching the internet seeking to work at home because I can't stand the thought of working in an office again, (first) and (second) I do not drive so I cannot go out and look for a job. So, I'm going to check out all those web addresses that started this discussion in the first place!

That's right. As with any job, you truly do have to work. Just because you are working from home doesn't mean it is going to be any easier, except that you have no commute time and you don't have to dress in business attire. The get-rich-quick schemes never work because they are just that; schemes. If people want a work at home job then they must realize they truly do have to work!

I've seen a lot of Internet get-rich scheme offers, as well as those Nigerian e-mail scams, and I know how tempting they seem...but you should always remember that things that seem too good to be true are just that, too good to be true.

If you want anything worthwhile, it's better to work hard and put extra effort into whatever job you have, even if it a work-from-home one.
