The best book from babe to oldest age, of any belief ... even Muslims...
The book GENESIS & EXODUS (Greek to English) encompasses about everything in the world. Before God commanded Mouses (Moses) to write, no one knew how everything came into existence including man. Chapter 1 of Genesis perfectly depicts the creation of all things - and God saw that everything was very good (v.31). But man corrupted until God destroyed the world He created by the great flood leaving only eight (8) men and a couple of all kinds with Noe in the ark which procreated to inhabit the whole earth. Man continued to corrupt.
God proclaimed Himself to the world thru Pharaoh when He brought out His people - the Israelites, from the land of Egypt. In the wilderness before the Israelites entered into the promised land, in Exodus, God gave His commandments, statutes, ordinances, and justifications where our knowledge emanate, knowingly or unknowingly. We must remember that God breathed His Spirit into the face of His icon that He molded from earth that gave life to it and that was Adam from where all men came. Whether we like it or not, that spirit in us seeks his source. Atheists can never flee from this longing for God. All of us and everything in the world are the creation of God. Somehow we yearn to be with our Creator. When we die, our bodies return to earth from where it was taken and our spirit goes back to God.
The book is best for everybody - young and old alike in all walks of life anywhere at all times. It should be a MUST for every family to own especially now that the world is confronted with the problem of moral degeneration. Exciting! Yes, we ought to know the basics. The books Genesis and Exodus show how we came into existence. Atheists don't believe... perhaps they're happy to have come from apes but where did the apes come from. I prefer to have come from dust and when I die I return to dust as God says.

i am a history buff and as such for me it is very fascinating to see if hostorical records support the exodus and other incidents from the old testament as well as the new testament.i think that there is a higher being,a god,he exists in various forms for various religions.we should all believe in him.

The subject I hated most before is history but I learned to appreciate history when I came to understand the Holy Bible. I have made a record from the first day of creation until now in the year of our Lord 2006. It's really exciting because I never thought that I can ever find a book such as the Holy Bible which I thought at first is just like other people say. I have published ORIGIN which will be discussed in that particular topic.

thank yuou for appreciating my comments but i should point out that i am more of a history fan thann a fan of the bible per se.it is just some of the historical facts in the old testament that i am intrested in and as far as the new testament goes well i do not believe in them that much except for some facts that can be corroborated historically.i am sorry that you do not like history that muich maybe you will appreciate your past one day.until then,have anice day and happy reading!

I never tire of hearing the historical accounts. God, the true God, is wonderful. In fact, He's Perfect. Therefore it only stands to reason that He has done all things Perfectly, in order to bring about the most Perfect of outcomes. All this (the world) is only because He chose to endow thinking ability (to angel and man) amd thus choice - for He is not creating an ant farm or robots, but the best, a family, and an eternal UNbreakable paradise.... It's good that there is a book published solely for the books of Genesis and Exodus in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. These books contain creation until the time when God commanded Moses to bring out the Israelites from the land of Egypt where they became slaves.
