| |  Yes, I'm a huge fan! I think the books are better than the movies. However, the original 1993 "Jurassic Park" movie by Spielberg is still a classic and one of my favorite movies. Crichton is a excellent author. If you liked "Jurassic Park", check out "Timeline", "Prey", "Sphere", or "Airframe".

| |  I love watching Jurassic Park. The first time watching Jurassic Park, it was so thrilling as I did not know what to expect from the movie. Jurassic Park has opened my mind and given me more knowledge on Dinasours. I think it's amazing that people can actually make a movie like that.

This movie really couldn't have been any better. It's story alone guaranteed it's success- an awesome vacation turned into a life or death escape adventure.
The loss of electric power in the high technology amusement park released all of the dinosaurs. The T-Rex chase was somewhat predictable, although it was made up for by the Raptor chases in the Visitor's Center (although in reality I would bet that the dinosaurs would have easily found the children with their sense of smell).
Hamelton chose to ignore the advice everyone was giving him, and ultimately lost his dino paradise. The exploration of the island by Dr. Grant and the children was aslo exciting.
The visuals including the Visitor's Center and the electric fences were perfect. This movie also inspired one of the best video games for the Super Nintendo system.
It's certainly one of my favorite films of all time. If only the sequels were as good as the original..
