Rolling Stone mag: Dylan, Gnarls Barkley are best of 2006

Rolling Stone mag has named Bob Dylan's album "Modern Times" the best album of 2006, and Gnarls Barkley's single "Crazy" the top single of the year.
Also on the best-album list:
2. Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Stadium Arcadium"
3. Sonic Youth, "Rather Ripped"
The other singles in Rolling Stone's top three:
2. The Raconteurs, "Steady As She Goes" [the group with Jack White of the White Stripes]

Gnarls Barkley "Crazy" became my theme song for a while. I still love this song. It made me feel less crazy than what I was actually feeling. LOL

I guess I am product of the media culture, because I agree with most of it!! The Chili Peppers song "Dani California" was a blow out and a great riff. That song sounded very similar to their older style. Great tune!! The song "Crazy" was a splash of fun....sounding very retro and having very entertaining lyrics. "Steady as She Goes" is a very catch song (I had know idea the White Stripes guy was involved in it-no wonder I like it so much!!!). I am not real big on that style of music, but just the same that one is a favorite of mine of 2006.
