I have made almond and peanut butter. I was wondering if walnut butter would be good. What do you think? Have you made it?

I have never had it because I have don't like walnuts, but we have several walnut trees out on our other property, and we sell them for people to bake, cook with. I have heard of many different things that these are used for, and that is one of them. I have also heard of them being used to be mashed after going ripe and added with other herbs to make a arthritis cream, I have also heard of them being burned as like an incent kind of deal, and many other things.

So, do you think I should try it? Do you think it will be as good as almond and peanut butter? I have 3 pounds of walnuts, and just thought of it today.

How sweet of you to ask. Not really well. The doctor said I should go to a walker, and I must stay off the foot for two more weeks. That's impossible.
I'm going to try the walnut butter, should be good I think too. Thanks for responding to all my posts.

I am not sure about the walnut butter. Walnuts can be slightly on the bitter side. You may want to stick with a sweeter nut. Cashews are also good for making butter. Give it a try.

I will. I forgot about cashews. It's just that I had 3 pounds of walnuts, and was thinking of doing something different with them.

Well I have never heard of any other spreads other than peanut butter and hazelnut chocolat spread made from nuts. But then again I could just be ignorant! The maple candy with walnut topping sounds really nice though. Must be my sweet tooth showing itself again.

Hehehe, I think it sounds good. I asked my hubby if he would like it or spiced, and he said the maple candy too. So I will have to try it when I find a good receipe. I'll hold off on the walnet butter.
Cashew butter and almond butter are excellent. You find them in the health store ususally.
