When I was a child at christmas we put the tree up soon after Thanksgiving. My Dad was really into Christmas and was as excited to get it up as we were. Over the next few weeks presents would start to appear from Mom and dad, grandparent, aunt, etc. Well, on Christmas eve after much tossing and turning we would finally fall asleep. Well, that is when my Dad would get started with his wonderland from Santa. We did not know this then, but have since taken on the tradition ourselves. I have two siblings, by the way. Anyway, Dad would be Santa and he would set our gifts all around the tree, each in it's own little section. Usually a nice sign that Santa made with our names on it in front of our section, and our stockings. He would unpackage it all, and set it up, if it had sounds or batteries he turned them all on when he was all finished. I will never forget that feeling waking up to that. I do the same with my daughter, and all of my siblings do the same also. How about you guys? Come on let's here some Christmas memories.

One of the funniest incidents that happened to us was; the eldest of our children noticed one year, that Santa's handwriting was the same as mom and dad's!! Boy were we caught by surprise! But he was old enough then to understand what was going on, and we pulled him aside and told him! But they all took it very well as the years went by,and now our grandchildren are the ones that get the gifts from "Santa"!

My mom always did all the family presents so I guess Santa's were in Dad's.
Since Dad's writing was so bad, he printed if he wanted to be understood (I do the same now.) In fact, Dad mostly wrote at home on the typewriter, he could do 50 wpm with 2 fingers.

yea santa wrap my kids gift as he did when me and my brothers and sisters.
So I to kept the famiy tradition with putting their names on the presents and putting from Santa. Only ones that don't get wrap is the real big ones their names will go on it with a bow on it. Because when we were little we love to see anything and everything with your name it and that is just how my kids are too.

Santa has always wrapped the presents he gives to my chldren, unless they are really big and/or bulky, in which case they just get tied with a big huge bow. Each of the three children gets their Santa presents wrapped in a different color of wrapping paper. And of course those three wrapping papers are always different from the paper we use to wrap their presents from Mom and Dad.
