Are there any fans of the movie "The Outsiders" that came out in 1983.

I enjoyed the movie the outsiders. It was a really Good movie for sure. When you look at all the Actors in there, and see where they are now, it is even more impressive. And since you like the Movie "Outsiders", you need to see the movie Alpa Dogs" if you have not done so, as it reminds me of outsiders, and is actually quite a Good movie as well.

I started a discussion on this book but have received no replies. It is the 40th anniversary of the book this year and they are putting out a special edition. My daughter is studying it in school and took the movie out at the library and watched it a couple of times.
Who was my favourite? I was a freakin' teenage girl back then! They were all my favourites - especially Matt Dillon. Yum! I also have a photograph taken off the tv of Rob Lowe coming out of the shower. He he he! Yeah, we froze the VCR and took pictures of the TV screen. Pathetic, huh?
Well, now you know how much I loved the movie. :)

All the actors in this movie have done very well for themselves since the making of The Outsiders. I like them all too like Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon and the others. I think this movie started them off to success. This movie is definitely a classic.

I, too, would have to say that I liked Ponyboy better. It was a really good movie and book. There were a lot of before they were stars in that movie. It has been a long time since I have seen it but would you believe that they are still showing it in schools? My daughter read the book in school and when they were done, the teacher brought in the movie for them to watch. :)

I like the movie as well, but I have to say that the book is much better. I had to read it in Jr. High and I liked it so much that I had to go out and find more books by that author and I ended up loving those, too.

This was an excellent movie with some stars that were mostly unknowns at the time and later became quite famous. Patrick Swayze for one not to mention Tom Cruise. It was one I did enjoy. I don't think I really have a favorite, they were all such great characters and the actors did such a good job playing them that to pick one just isn't possible for me.

Yes, I have seen the movie. I liked it. Liked it enough that I gave several people the movie for Christmas a couple of years ago.
My 13 year old daughter has it. She watches it all of the time. She said she thinks she's seen The Outsiders more than any other movie. I haven't taken the time to sit and watch it for awhile. Hhmm, I just might need to do that.
