can you help me with some ideas on my kids first birthday on jan 3rd.
we've decided to organize it at home.
and we've asked all our relatives and friends to bring along a letter addressed to 'kid'to be opened by him on the date specified by them.

| | I think the letter thing is a great idea! How cool would it be to open a letter from his/her godparents when he/she turned 21? Presents for a one year old. wood blocks, clothes, stuffed animals, table sets play with shapes and etc. anything noisy, squeaky, finger paints. | |  hey even i have a 4 month old kid. actually , even iam plannign to celebrate his birthday .
actually u can make the birthday interesting by arranging for soem games for the kids and give them gifts,t hen when they leave u can again give some gift to all ..so that no1 feels left out if they dotn get prices in the game.
then buy a special cake, arrage for some light music like birthday music when u child cuts cake. all this would be great
