What would you do with your old pod coffee maker???  

Sell it on ebay and say it is sold as is, so if it has any problems you are not accountable. If you fear for someone elses safty then warn them about the faults.

I would just give it to the salvation army, someone will use it.

If you are worried about it then toss it. That way you can rest easy that you have harmed no one. Its better to toss something that is potentialy harmful then to recycle it.

i LOVE MY SENSEO! I dont know nd havent heard anything about fires..I also dont keep mine plugged in due to no space on counter tops. I would freecycle it and tell them to look over their web site!

Why not donate it to a sheltar of the goodwill or something like that.

If you have read that this particular coffee maker has the potential to cause fires then that means that your maker could someday cause a fire. (even though to date it has been fine) For this reason, I would say to 'lay it to rest' rather than pass it on to someone less fortunate. Should you pass it on and it later cause a fire, you will have hurt them more than helped them! I do commend you for your desire to pass it on and help someone else rather than to ditch it! If only more citizens were this thoughtful....

There are many people that would love one of the single cup makers. You should put it on freecycle. I am sure that the company could offer a resolution to the problem. Maybe you should check with the manufacturer to see if there has been a recall first. : )
