When Should You Start Feeding Baby Cereal?

Over the years this has changed. When my kids were babies the doctor said if they are eating over 32 ounces of formula a day and are still hungry to start them on cereal. Now they say to wait till they are 4 months old otherwise they will have stomach problems. My kids all started eating cereal at 2 weeks old and don't have and have never had stomach problems. When do you think you should start feeding cereal?

I usually started mine around 4 months..but I know others who have started their babies on cereal at only a month old! You just have to start real slow and small and build up to it.

It's so difficult to tell! Baby advice changes constantly it seems - so at the moment we are told 4 months - but who knows what moms will be told in 5 or 10 years time?! I had a baby a year ago and was told four months. But I'm pretty sure that if your kids were fine with the cereal at the time then that was fine!

Well mine started eating Porridge at 2 months old just a bit and then still they're Bottles to and has not done them any Harm either so why is it that now they are saying it causes this and that As long as they digest it and you mix it with the Baby Milk there should be no harm done at all
