Do you think 50 is too old for more education?

yes, education doesn't deal with age. "Education doesn't improve life, it is life itself". And life itself is a constant learning.

50 well i dont think it matters what age you are u can always learn

of course your not too old to learn something new., we hopefully never stop learning untill we don't have a heartbeat., so live, and learn for as long as we and you are alive!

Thanks everyone you are sure giving me incentive. I appreciate it , I was a little nervous but I have an inguiring mind and alway love to learn. I am all ready working in this field and I think learning more will only benifit me. thanks for the incentive

one of the wise man said : "Get Education even you have to travel to China". (in those days China was far away and it was difficult to be there).
One more in this rehard "From the lap of your mother to your grave seek for knowledge".

Education is a never ending process that we all are doing through all of our life. The brain can absorb so much knowledge and wisdom, and is a receptical for a never ending stream of experiences that we go through and age is no barrier to that stream.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am going to ignore her, if she can't see that she will also benifit from it that is her narrow mindedness. If she has no appreciation after I finish my course, it will give insentive and motivation to persure more productive or positive employment. thank for the boost.

i dont think so even education is really important.BUt many person have their own think. their brain stiil work to make something different than others. Maybe the ways of their think is the better choice to us to follow?who knows..?

A great big thank you for the encouragement and input. I am looking forward to this course. I love to learn. I am beginning to think no one could please this boss of mine, so I can only do what is best for me. Since I already work in accounting I think I will get a lot out of it. It isn't like I asked her to pay for it or anything, I am paying for it myself. I guess I just thought she might be pleased and see it as positive. It sounds like you've got the right kind of attitude towards your course - education should be for YOU and what you can get out of it. If your boss was intelligent enough to be encouraging to you and see your furthering your knowledge as an asset to her team, that would have been to her advantage, but the advantage to you was always in the education itself and what that will bring to you. What others think of your decisions and of you as a person doesn't matter - that's their issue, not yours, and just shows you what they're like, rather than being any reflection on you. So never mind your boss and people like that - they've got their issues, and that's not your problem. You just live your life the way that's right for you, and get all you can out of that course. Who knows - maybe you'll be replacing your boss before long with such a positive can-do attitude!

I believe you are right more education can only help me and I probably will go further for having attained it. an up date my boss is now saying it will be to heavy of a work load for any one , can you believe it. I wouldn't take it on if I didn't think I could do it. I know I can so I will. Just hope she doesn't cut my hours or give me a hard time . the course starts tuesday and lasts until the end of april. Thanks for you encouragement , I appreciate it .

That is my oppinion to the work and technology is constantly changing and if we don't change with it we get left behind. I hope I can keep leaning every day of my life. thanks for the incouragement.

Thanks I appreciate the encouragement. I guess I was quite hurt when my boss said that as my learning more would not only benifit me but the company as well. I will still be working full time so it isn't like I needed time off. I am doing this around work. I expected a possitive comment from her not a negative one. thanks for that. I think that is what will happen I am starting this course on tuesday and it runs untill the end of april. Then I probably will start looking for a more positve place of employment. thanks for the encouragement.
