Hi All,

If you are reding this I am assuming that you have MS or you are a caregiver for someone with MS. I have tried all the medications available on the market:

1. Betaseron - The suicide Medication, it made me cry for three days straight, it was uncontrollable, jumping off the building was the only solution that I saw to make it stop.
2. Copaxone - The elephant skin medication, it made my skin so tough that I could not get a needle into it any more.
3. Avanex - Don't even get me started, a lot like Betaseron.
4. Rebif - Night Terros, bruising, mood swings, should I say more???
5. Tysbri - Almost killed me, shut down my immune system completely and a common cold almost took me out!

I guess my question is, has anybody else had these experiences???? At what point is the treatment worse than the illness??? Any thoughts would be great!

Happy New Year!

I don't know what all went on with the meds/depression stuff whether you tried anti depressants with them or not but all that aside have you looked at being a guinea pig? Or trying an alternative? If you consider an alternative I suggest checking out LDN aka Low Dose Naltrexone do a web search you'll find tons of info! Good luck!

I tried Avonex for 5 years. the depression side effect 'bout killed me. I switched to Copaxone because it doesn't have that effect. I use the auto inject and I seem to be doing fine now. I hope you find what works for you.

I am glad that you found something that works for you. I am just so tired of the side effects and the drugs to counter act the drugs and then the drugs to counter act those drugs. I feel like science experiment not a person.

hey well sorry to hear that you have had so much trouble with the medications. i am on rebif and have no trouble now, when i first started i used to fell like i had the flu not long after i did the injection so i started doing it just before i went to sleep and it was much better, i slept through the symptoms. I also found injecting it myself and not using the rebiject was much better, no bruising. and i also push the fluid in slow. thats just how i deal with it all. i hope you find it easier in time. lots of love
