Just Curious...How much do a carton of eggs cost where you live?  

Well, I but free range organic eggs, and it costs 89 cents a carton where I am - the high desert mountains in Arizona. They're local eggs, and I get them at the farmer's market, so that probably makes a big difference. I don't really know what a dozen eggs costs in the grocery store around here.

I buy free range eggs of the side of the country lanes near where I live. I usually pay £1.50 for 30 big eggs on a tray.. They are nicer and fresher than the supermarket, yum

I have just checked one supermarket, as I don't really know how much I pay for my eggs. For 1 doz extra large (my favourite) it costs €3.41; 1 doz large costs €2.90 and 1 doz medium costs €1.78. The medium size would be very small, so I would eat two of them.

We bought our eggs for 89 cents I believe. We are working on having our own chickens so that we can all we need and maybe make a buck a dozen for fresh, natural eggs. Also some will be different colors due to the type of chickens we will have.

It it very seldom that we buy eggs because we have our own hens although we are now down to only 4 of them but they lay every day and so we get enough for ourselves, unless of course I am going to do a major cook up. Last week when we were shopping I did notice that they were actually $3.89 for a carton of a dozen and we often see them at the markets for $3.00, so the amount you are paying does seem cheap to me. LOL

The last time I bought a carton of eggs, I sepnt $.89 at Super Walmart. All of their eggs (unless you buy the brown eggs or specialty eggs) are under $1.

I live in the south and many of the items that I use, I purchase at our local Walmart Supercenter. A doz. of large
eggs cost about $.99 a carton. I find that many of the household items that I purchase there are a few cents cheaper than at other stores...SS

depends on the brand but a dozen of large eggs can run from 1.09 to 1.39. I live in the eastern part of pennsylvania

I live in Barbados and here a dozen eggs cost $5.50BDS which is equivalent to $2.75USD. In general food here is expensive.

That is right around the ballpark for here in central Kansas as well.I try to go to discount places, like Aldi's or Sam's Club for eggs,and buy a lot when I can get them at a good price.
