Our finches live like kings :) They have a regular diet of finch food - we always pick one that has a lot of different types of millet, vitamins, etc. Then they always have several sprays of millet hanging from the top of their cage - they love that stuff. One of the female Gouldians likes those hard seed rolls so we hang that on the side of her place. They also get egg biscuits. Whenever we can we give them fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and eggs. Occassionally we give them bugs.

I have a Timneh African Grey named Mia. She's about 2 now. She always has her Zupreem pellets in her bowl which she's really not to keen about anymore lately. I usually throw in a little bit of her seed mix in the evening, and then she usually gets a little of whatever we're having for dinner, mixed in with a few veggies that she usually throws down immediately lol. During the day I'll give her a few Cheerios when the baby has some, and usually a small spoonful of the baby's oatmeal or cereal. She's definitely a well fed bird lol. As much food as it sounds, really most of it ends up at the bottom in the pan.
I had a yellow collared mini macaw up till about 1 year ago. He ended up dying. I think he was older then what the person I bought him from told me. That's what the lady that cut his wings said too. Poor thing, he was such a neurotic, and so mean! Beautiful bird though!
