I had two wonderful cats for almost 20 years .. they are sadly missed ... The first cats to be 'tamed' were reputedly African Wildcats ... Cats have more than 100 vocal chords ... for comparison dogs only have 10 ... Cat pee will glow if a blacklight is passed over it ... Cat cannot see anything directly under their noses and this is why your pet may not seem to find tidbits on the floor. Cats cannot digest cows milk properly and it may give them diarrhea. Cats don't have a proper collar bone which is why they can seemingly squeeze themselves through impossibly small gaps. Cats have 24 whiskers in all .. 4 rows on either side .. the upper and lower sets of whiskers move independently and whiskers are used for measuring distances .. Cats purr at the same frequency as an idling diesel engine, about 26 cycles per second A domestic cat can sprint at about 31 miles per hour A cat can jump 5 times as high as it is tall.
