Some Advice Please................Update |
|
Thank you to all of you who had some advice for me regarding my daughter who's father (my ex) took her on an overseas holiday and falsified the itinerary so I would let him go. Anyway, my daughter returned home same on the 10th January. After I made my other post, I got in touch with my solicitor once she was back in the office. She advised me that there was nothing that could be done until the 10th January and should would write a letter asking for an explaination. When I picked my daughter up from her Dad's place, I asked for an explaination and he could not give me one. The matter is now in the hands of the solicitor and I will be applying to the court to have a variation made to our current parenting orders, to incorporate travel in the future.

3. Tanika (564) | 2 years ago | Great to hear that she is back safe and sound. It is pretty bad that there was no explanation given about the whereabouts? Did you daughter have a good time or was she stressed? I think that your doing the right thing by contacting your solicitors and applying to the court for a variation. Sorry that you had to go through this but at least she is safe and sound. Tanika.

missytia (230) | 2 years ago | Hi Tanika, thank you for your thoughts. She seemed to have a good time but she did tell me that she missed me and was sad because daddy wouldn't let her ring me. She's kinda regretting the holiday now as she's still having trouble sleeping due to the jet lag. Poor little thing is so confused. And I'm getting rather sleep deprived also.

5. loujac3 (824) | 2 years ago | I am so happy that you have your daughter back. It could have been a different ending with him not returning her to you. Men can be power control freaks and they find it easier to do what they want than to consider the consequences. It has been said that it is easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. What was your daughter's feelings toward this matter? Was she upset with her father?

7. cwgrlsarefun (1358) | 2 years ago | This is very refreshing news. I did read your last post and have been waiting to hear what had happend. I am glad to hear that she has made it home and is safe now. I hope that you can get everything worked out with her father so that this does not happen again. I would be very leary of letting him take her far from home anymore. So glad that all worked out for you.

8. GardenGerty (12450) | 2 years ago | I think we are so glad that you posted an update for us, so that we know your daughter got home again safely. You have taken a good step, and I know you will be even more cautious in the future about her travelling with her dad. Did your daughter say where they actually went, and if she had a good time? Try not to drag her into taking sides, because it might be a good memory she will have, even if it scared the life out of you. Make sure she knows how to get alhold of you if she is ever away, though.

9. Melizzy (975) | 2 years ago | I am glad your daughter was returned safely. Have you spoken with her and found out exactly where they were and what they did? Asked to see any photos that may have been taken? Found any receipts in her stuff to verify where they went?

10. dragonryder (3574) | 2 years ago | I am also glad that you have your daughter back home safe and sound. Being a parent I know that I myself would go nuts not knowing where my child was. I hope he doesn't ever put you through this again. Good Luck.
