is having no long term plans and huge ambitions formulated yet a good basis for them to say i act like a kid? it's just that the pressure they keep bugging me about just makes me insane...

I say that you enjoy life and at the same time, prove to them that you are not what they think you are. Don't mind about the pressures, as they are your parents and it's natural for them to worry about you. You just do what you want to do for now, but always be on the positive side!;)

its good to have a long term plan for at least a year ahead of you, now that doesnt mean you have to let go of your childish ways, maybe you are unique because you like to act like a 5 year old. it doesnt matter and noone else should really care how old you act. as long as you have your priorities straight!

Having no long term plans doesn't mean you're like a kid. There might be other things on top of that which you haven't mentioned. There are some long term plans which you really need to think about, if you haven't already, like geting a job, finding a place to live away from your parents, saving for the future. But apart from those things, there are no rules on how to behave like an adult. I would think that as long as you know what you are doing and can look after yourself then you're no more like a kid than anyone else.

Well, as long as you have a direction in life, you are not childish. Childish is different from child-like. If you just act like a kid literally, but you can still handle your thoughts and feelings on your age, then there's nothing wrong. It's their problem if they don't understand you. I think they must be the one who must give patience and respect on what you are.
