I have a friend that is involved in a Guinea Pig shelter and I think that's kind of weird. What do u think?
I can't see why it's any different to being involved in any other kind of animal welfare work. It sounds like your friend's doing a good thing. Good on them!
I don't think that being involved in anything is weird. I think that the fact that your friend is involved in something that helps out animals is amazing.
How is that at all weird? Your friend is helping out animals in need. That's a noble and worthy cause, and it's great that they're involved. It's not just dogs and cats that get abandoned and mistreated. How can that possibly be considered 'social suicide'? Or do you think being trendy and 'cool' is more important than actually doing what you enjoy and feel good doing? Anyone who has issues with a friend working in animal rescue has some issues they need to look at.
