will blogging go the way of cb radios, baseball card collecting, disco music? Or will it continue to grow?

I think blogging is definetly here to stay. There are too many people engaging in this activity and with more and more opportunities to earn income through blogging, I think you will see that blogging will increase as time goes on.

one of the reasons for asking the question is wondering if the income from blogging is sustainable!

I think it is sustainable, but I'm not 100% sure as I just started looking into this. There are sites that you can look at that will pay you to blog for them. payposter, blogvertise and blogative are three of the ones that I am aware of. Hope this helps.

my income from blogging has increased siginficantly since I diversified. I have several blogs generating a stream of revenue from several sources. I am enjoying it, but I do not know whether it will be sustained for a long term.

I think it's here to stay. People have always wanted to say what's on their mind. Now with blogging, they have that opportunity. I'm sure there may be some drop off after the new wears off for some, but for most, they will continue to write. I think the bigger question would be, will it really make an impact in our society or will people become numb to the things that are written?

That is a good question. I think many are tuned out from the traditional forms of communication now

In this day and age when no one believe there is truth, opinion is sufficient for most!

True. I think there are so many news agencies pushing agenda's, people don't trust any of them. Of course, with blogs, all you're getting is opinion, but at least you expect it.

Interesting. I haven't really thought deep about this, i mean at least i haven't seen blogging in that way before. But maybe you are right, it's a current "internet trend", who knows it'll last after a new trend sets in? I hope not though.

Yeah, I am hooked on blogging, but that also makes me wonder how long the fascination will last.

I think it's here to stay. I think blogs are just a revolution from dairy, personal journal,.... So I think bloggin will continue stay, it's just the presentation way might change again.

depends on the person. other people grow out of it, while others make it their creative output. :)

I think it will not pass away. It is here to stay. There are about 75,000 new blogs coming up everyday! This will take a long to slow down to zero. There could be some changes, which will be called something else instead of 'blog' but it won't disappear.

Thanks for the input, I think it may morph into other things, but still be a part of our life
