The Goofy Scandal  |

 Ok here’s what happened: I’ve just heard it on a morning talkshow that Goofy pushed his fan, which is an actress here in the Philippines. According to the two actresses, which are Gladys Reyes and K Brosas they were in a trip on Hongkong to promote the Kapuso foundation, it is a foundation of their home TV station GMA channel 7. They were staying at the Disney Hotel and saw Goofy, the mascot on the hallway. Gladys wanted to take a picture but then the tourist guide doesn’t allow them because he said that Goofy is tired. Being a big fan of Goofy, Gladys looked for another way and take some actions. Gladys fall in line and being just a small lady, she makes her way to the side of Goofy. When it’s just a second away the camera be clicked Goofy pushed Gladys away. So shocked of what happened they reported it to the administration but all they say was Goofy is tired. The two actresses won’t accept the reason and they said that Goofy shouldn’t behave like that in front of the public. K Brosas even joked that “ Goofy is just a cartoon character and you’ll never seen him get tired on their cartoon series even if he gets hurt or whatever!” and Gladys even joked too and she told Goofy that “ Hey! You are just a cartoon character and I am an actress so you don’t have the right to push and hurt me!” I was really laughing when I heard them saying those although it’s a little bit of their fault but then Goofy the mascot shouldn’t have to behave like that especially to his fans. If you belong on the entertainment industry you don’t have the right to get tired. You have to entertain your fans even if you are dead tired to please them. Fans makes their sales boost and they are the reason why Disney as a whole is still existing on our society.

These mascots, or cartoon characters or whatever, have a duty to the public and that's not to harm or grouch around because they're tired, but to entertain. What Goofy did back there wasn't funny at all.

The person should be reprimanded once the complaint has been filed.
I can just imagine what that guy would do to the children who wanted to have a picture with goofy and they would just be shoved away.

Although the actress has done a mistake too but the mascott shouldn't do something like that to their fans. They are so much aware of those annoying fans and they experience it everyday and they must know how to deal with them. I might hate disney if that happens to me too especially to my kid. | |

he was on caught on video hitting a kid who wanted to take a picture with him. so he was reprimanded. and that was just right, because people pay a lot to enter these theme parks to get a glimpse of them, not a hit from them.
poor Tigger, he was caught on the act.

Hmmm...seems like Disney characters are getting overworked. Hehehe. But, since they are mascots in Disney, and are supposed to be part of "show-business", they should know better than to hurt their fans. Looks like anger-management classes are in order for these cartoon characters. Hehehe.

The actress should have let it go when she found out Goofy didn't want to take a picture. She pushed the issue though and got pushed back, waa waa waa for her. Then they made a big deal about how they didn't get their way, another waa waa waa. I wonder what they would do if they ever got tired. Would they snub their fans or would they stay there 24 hours a day and get their pictures taken?

She's good to be a villain in some of her shows but she's very friendly and kind (I think most of all actors/actress that can portray a villain role). It has not been in the news though but they just had a story telling in a talk show so that's my source of information. | |

well of course funny for how our actresses reacted...
but of course Goffy doesnt have the right to do that, he could have silently whispered to his manager (if ever there was) if he could take a break or have somebody to replace him during that time to avoid untoward circumstances....because what happen then leaves the whole management a negative impression....
hope this wont happen again^_^

The two actress are already famous here in our country and they don't need to lie on such things just to make them famous again. Actually, I haven't heard it on the news that it has happened and they only told the viewers when the talkshow host asked them. After the show, it's like nothing happened. It's like they are still happy even they get hurt by a mascott! No follow up news after that. | |
