UFOs are these for real? Are we alone? | | Every night as I watch the stars above, theres always a question in my mind that keeps on ringing. Are we alone? Well nobody can tell that, farthest place outside earth humans step into was the moon. while unmanned satellites have been jumping from one planet to another. But only inside our solar system. Would there be a solid proof of life outside? When will that be answered?

| | | 2. skygirl85 (93) | 3 years ago | I think no! There's too many space only for us, it is probable that out over there there's life.... that can be at the first step of life like amoeba, unicellulars beings, or some intelligent life but i think in a long long distance, that it is very very difficult to reach. In the 1969 with the moon landing NASA was excited and they programmed to go to Mars within '80, to Saturn withing '90, and Alfa Centauri within 2000....hehehe we are in 2007 and we must still to go on Mars...the way of life...

| | 3. rohitssj4 (1305) | 3 years ago | A UFO or Unidentified Flying Object is any real or apparent flying object which cannot be identified by the observer and which remains unidentified after investigation.
Sightings of unusual aerial phenomena date back to ancient times, but reports of UFO sightings started becoming more common after the first widely publicized U.S. sighting in 1947. Many tens of thousands of such claimed observations have since been reported worldwide, and it is very likely many more go unreported due to fear of public ridicule because of the social stigma created around the UFO topic.
In popular culture throughout the world, UFO is commonly used to refer to any hypothetical alien spacecraft but the term flying saucer is also regularly used. Once a UFO is identified as a known object (for example an aircraft or weather balloon), it ceases to be a UFO and becomes an identified object. In such cases it is inaccurate to continue to use the acronym UFO to describe the object Before the terms “flying saucer” and “UFO” were coined, there were a number of reports of strange, unidentified aerial phenomena. These reports date from the mid-nineteenth to early twentieth century. They include: Purported photo of a UFO over New Hampshire in 1870 Purported photo of a UFO over New Hampshire in 1870
* On July, 1868, The investigators of this phenomenon define the first modern documented sighting as having happened in Copiapo city, Chile.[6]
* On January 25, 1878, The Denison Daily News wrote that local farmer John Martin had reported seeing a large, dark, circular flying object resembling a balloon flying “at wonderful speed.”[7]
* On November 17, 1882, astronomer E. W. Maunder of the Greenwich Royal Observatory described in the Observatory Reports “a strange celestial visitor” that was “disc-shaped,” “torpedo-shaped,” or “spindle-shaped.” It was said to be very different in characteristics from a meteor fireball. Years later, Maunder wrote it looked exactly like the new Zeppelin dirigibles. The strange object was also seen by several other European astronomers.[8]
* On February 28, 1904, there was a sighting by three crew members on the USS Supply 300 miles west of San Francisco, reported by Lt. Frank Schofield, later to become Commander-in-Chief of the Pacific Fleet. Schofield wrote of three bright red egg-shaped and circular objects flying in echelon formation that approached beneath the cloud layer, then changed course and “soared” above the clouds, departing directly away from the earth after 2 to 3 minutes. The largest had an apparent size of about six suns.[9][10]
* The so-called Fátima incident or “The Miracle of the Sun,” witnessed by tens of thousands in Fátima, Portugal on October 13, 1917, is believed by some researchers to actually be a UFO event.
* On August 5, 1926, while traveling in the Humboldt Mountains of Tibet's Kokonor region, Nicholas Roerich reported that members of his expedition saw--high in the sky, above an eagle they had been watching--"something big and shiny reflecting sun, like a huge oval moving at great speed" (from his travel diary Altai-Himalaya, published 1929). While Roerich does not say what he thought the object might have been, surrounding passages discuss Theosophical accounts of ancient civilizations and their technology.[11]
* In both the European and Japanese aerial theatres during World war II, “Foo-fighters” (balls of light and other shapes that followed aircraft) were reported by both Allied and Axis pilots.
* On February 25, 1942, an unidentified craft was detected over the California region. The craft stayed aloft despite taking at least 20 minutes worth of flak from ground batteries. The incident later became known as the Battle of Los Angeles, or the West coast air raid.
* In 1946, there were over 2000 reports of unidentified aircraft in the Scandinavian nations, along with isolated reports from France, Portugal, Italy and Greece, then referred to as “Russian hail,” and later as “ghost rockets,” because it was thought that these mysterious objects were Russian tests of captured German V1 or V2 rockets. This was subsequently shown not to be the case, and the phenomenon remains unexplained. Over 200 were tracked on radar and deemed to be “real physical objects” by the Swedish military. A significant fraction of the remainder were thought to be misidentification of natural phenomena, such as meteors.

| | 4. kingwhosing (397) | 3 years ago | Alien story 180 The Sea Nymph Sweden (Gotland)
One night a number of fishermen quartered themselves in a hut by a fishing village on the northwest shores of an island. After they
had gone to bed, and while they were yet awake, they saw a white, dew-besprinkled woman's hand reaching in through the door. They
well understood that their visitor was a sea nymph, who sought their destruction, and feigned unconsciousness of her presence. The following day their number was added to by the coming of a young, courageous and newly married man from Kinnar, in
Lummelund. When they related to him their adventure of the night before, he made fun of their being afraid to take a beautiful woman
by the hand, and boasted that if he had been present he would not have neglected to grasp the proffered hand. That evening when they laid themselves down in the same room, the late arrival with them, the door opened again, and a plump, white
woman's arm, with a most beautiful hand, reached in over the sleepers. The young man arose from his bed, approached the door and seized the outstretched hand, impelled, perhaps, more by the fear of
his comrades scoffing at his boasted bravery, than by any desire for a closer acquaintance with the strange visitor. Immediately his comrades witnessed him drawn noiselessly out through the door, which closed softly after him. They thought he
would return soon, but when morning approached and he did not appear, they set out in search of him. Far and near the search was
pursued, but without success. His disappearance was complete. Three years passed and nothing had been heard of the missing man. His young wife, who had mourned him all this time as dead, was
finally persuaded to marry another. On the evening of the wedding day, while the mirth was at its highest, a stranger entered the
cottage. Upon closer observation some of the guests thought they recognized the bride's former husband. The utmost surprise and commotion followed. In answer to the inquiries of those present as to where he came from and where he had been, he related that it was a sea nymph
whose hand he had taken that night when he left the fisherman's hut; and that he was dragged by her down into the sea. In her pearly
halls he forgot his wife, parents, and all that was loved by him until the morning of that day, when the sea nymph exclaimed, "There will
be a dusting out in Kinnar this evening." Then his senses immediately returned, and, with anxiety, he asked, "Then it is my wife who is to be the bride?" The sea nymph replied in the affirmative. At his urgent request, she allowed him to come up to see his wife as a bride, stipulating that when he arrived at the house he should
not enter. When he came and saw her adorned with garland and crown he could, nevertheless, not resist the desire to enter. Then
came a tempest and took away half the roof of the house, whereupon the man fell sick and three days later died.

| | 5. wolfie34 (13858) | 3 years ago | The answer to your question is that we are NOT alone but because humans on this planet are still pretty primative and war hungry and full of greed, power hungry and hatred, aliens fear us for being contaminated themselves, UFO's do exist as they view Earth's progress and we must be a horrid race to them!
