online poker: is it rigged

I believe that it is not rigged. I have won money at it, although small, but I have several friends that have won big money at it. I think the biggest things that are forgotten are the amount of hands that you see (typically 10 times more per hour that what you see at a live game) and that you are playing odds which means a certain percentage you will lose. It is key to be patient in online play because most really aggressive or bluff happy players will come up short. The amount of bad players on the internet may make the stats a liitle worse but for the most part it all averages out.

I would presume that the algorith is built in such a way to keep the company always with a profit so that they can continue working, so if there is someone winning loads of money at one end, there is someone else who is losing big time at the other end. I love playing online on facebook where its just for fun and to chat with people, but I would never put money on it!!
