Wearing Contacts just to change the color of your eyes.

hey i am using contact lens from past five years... n my eye colour is the same...it very comfortable and easy to use...

there are few people who use contact lens for just the change of color...its not tht good just going for fashions..

I remember this craze! I think that it's a really nifty idea, but I for one am not sure that i could even bear to wear contacts. I've been a glasses wearer for many years now, and the idea of putting something in my eye like a contact lense kind of makes me want to shudder.*laugh* Besides that, although it would be neat to have different colored eyes for awhile, the color of my eyes is probably just about the only thing about my phsyical appearance that i actually don't dislike, lol! I have blue eyes, and they really are the only thing about myself that I think is remotely nice. So I don't have that much of a reason to want to change how my eyes look.^_^

I used to wear contacts before I had Lasik surgery. My eye doctor would not prescribe the colored lenses. He believed that they dye used in them was not good for the eyes. I never really pursued this to find out if it was fact, because I really didn't care. At my last job, I saw a patient for his initial visit with me on Halloween, and he had BLACK contacts- the part that is normally blue or green or brown as well as the pupil were BLACK. It was really bizarre, but then again a lot of my patients were bizarre. That's why I loved them so much!

Not me either, I can't stand even putting anyting clse to my eyes. It takes me forever to try to put makeup on.

I do wear contacts but I really need them. Forget being able to see the clock in the middle of the night if I took them out before bed!

I go have the clear contacts that are extended wear so I can wear them when I sleep. But I also have the enhancers. I have hazel eyes that is a mixture of brown, green, and gold...then they are circled with a very dark ring that looks black. Pretty cool I think, so I like my eyes. But every now and then, I will wear the enhancers that bring out the green more. It does not alter the color of my eyes to be completely different...those are very hard to see out of. But as I said, it just enhances what I already have. Very cool!!! Especially with the dark ring.:)

I never did that. I wear glasses and wont get contacts because I have difficulty getting them in my eyes. Forget buying them just to change the colors of my eyes. however I do like that idea. I have brown eyes I always wanted to see what I would look like with Green eyes. Guess I will never know.lOl

That's not something I would do, but of all people, my son did that once to change his brown eyes to blue. I would have never expected that from him. I think he might have worn his blue contacts for six months, if that long. If God wanted us to have a different color of eyes He would have given them to us right? So I don't see why anyone wants to change them.

I remember those from highschool. Most looked so fake...especially the violet ones. I tried out contacts, because of bad vision, and couldn't stand them so I can't imagine wearing them just for some weird eye color change.

I have mixed feelings about this. I wear contacts for vision and have thought about getting different colored ones just for a change but then I feel like I would be trying to be someone I'm not. It's the same with plastic surgery. Although that is a much more drastic measure, it's still trying to change the way you were born. Unless it is for medical reasons, should we really alter the way we were born? I don't know.

I see nothing wrong with that, just make sure you put plenty of drops in your eyes and if you have an eye condition make sure the lenses are soft lenses.
