I dont know where you are, but in Ohio, if you have those kind of problems and the landlord wont fix them, you can go after them for being "slum lords" and they will have to find you another place to live or let you live there for free until you find a place to live. Im just not sure how you go about filing a slum lord complaint against them. Check into it though

yea i think the same is in Pa. remember to take pictures and what not of the things wrong that she won't fix as proof. No one can expect you to live with mold and mice...that's bad for your health.

I would check in your state for the laws regarding leases. I would contact your local health department as well and notify them of the health conditions in your apartment.

You can always check your agreement and see that will you breach the agreement if you have early move out but refer to your descriptions I think you might be have the right to do so ause it seem that they didn't take your feedbacks seriously and thus you can choose to leave early before the said agreement actually been due.

If a place has mold and mice it should be condemed...If your paying for a place to live you shouldn't have to live in those conditions..You can die from mold and from having mice....I would definitly move and maybe ask for some money back...take her to court I'm sure there's laws in your state that say people cannot live in conditions like those! If it's making you sick have your manager be responsible since you've told her several times...I would definitly do something about that if I were you! that's a serious problem!

Your local health department might be able to help you here. Your apartment sounds very dangerous health wise and if your landlord isn't keeping up with it they could be issued a harsh citation that could include stiff fines and even a shutdown of the premises.

If you are in the US, you can break the lease for health reasons. You need to report your land lord to the housing authority (which should be located in city hall). Since the laws are a bit different in every state, you should find out what you rights are before putting notice in because you may have to give 30 days and go thorugh additional steps. When you told your landlord, did you write to them or verbally tell them? If is is just verbal, on Monday write them a letter (keep a copy of it) and send it certified mail that was you have proof that you did send them a letter and that they did receive it and did nothing.

It really depends on state laws and such. I think that in most states that you are allowed to, I'd look up the state laws and stuff, to find that out. I hope ya figure it out. We're moving out of our apartment, because of the mold as well, so I know what you mean about being sick, and having headaches. Good luck with everything :)
